"HI, I'M JO, LIAM'S SISTER," I smile at the four cute teenage guys now entering the bench. I'm going to have to remind myself to kill my twin later for not warning me about the teammates he invited being this attractive. Maybe it was his goal to make me uncomfortable? What am I saying, his life goal is to make me uncomfortable.
The first to walk over is the tallest of the group with light brown hair and a USA sweatshirt that's almost identical to the team sweaters; the next has brown eyes and dark, naturally curly hair, not any of the new wave perm stuff guys are doing these days; after him is the shortest, probably around my height, with a goofy grin that makes him seem like the most approachable of the group at the moment; and the last wears the same sweatshirt as the first, except he has nice blue eyes and an adorable smile. Now that I've seen Liam's friends I'm mad that he's never brought them over and I'm taking it as a personal strike against me.
Erin and Kate stand to my right, looking equally as intrigued as I am, "These are my friends Erin and Kate."
My blonde friend points to herself, "Erin."
"Kate," She waves. I can tell she's trying to stay cool and not freak out in front of the guys, but I'd say she's doing fairly well at acting natural. I think the only reason I notice it is because I've known her for so long.
The guys each set their bags down, allowing the dark haired boy to speak up first, "I'm Alex, Alex Turcotte. The best hockey player here, and don't let anyone tell you different," he smirks, earning a few laughs and punches from the other guys.
"Alright, Alex is the best hockey player, so what does that make you guys?" I tease, gesturing to the others.
The one with light brown hair extends his hand toward me, "I'm Trevor Zegras, a true gentleman unlike my companion," he says and Alex shakes his head behind him. I smile and shake Trevor's hand who then goes on to do the same to Erin and Kate beside me, and I appreciate his full commitment to his role as 'the gentleman.' I swear Kate almost faints when Trevor reaches her and I suddenly wish I had this on video.
"I'm Cole Caufield. I may be short, but I am the funniest out of these idiots," he claims with a proud smile. I can't help but laugh at the way these guys rip on each other because it reminds me so much of how my friends and I talk to each other. It's not everyday that you meet people with thick skin that can take a joke and not be so serious all the time, sometimes it's about as likely as getting rich during the gold rush. It's also fun to meet some guys that don't immediately come off as douchebags that only want one thing, like many teenage boys do these days. We could use more nice guys in our lives.
While the rest of the guys begin to lace up their skates, I turn my attention to the last one who has yet to introduce himself, "So that makes you..."
A smile returns to his lips, "Jack Hughes."
"Just Jack Hughes?" I ask, reciprocating the same smile.
