SATURDAY, JULY 28
⟶ 9:45 AM"WHAT DO WE DO?" A quiet voice mumbles.
"I feel like we should pour water on them or something?" It's hard to make out, but I think it's Alex that speaks this time.
Then there's a subtle smack, followed by a girls voice, "Don't you dare! Leave them be, let's go get ready for breakfast."
There's a flash of light, and them another smack. "Quit doing that!" Cole begs in frustration.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm taking a picture, they might want to look back on this someday! In a few years they'll be thanking me!" As I start to wake up more, I realize that it's Cole arguing with Erin. But what are they arguing about?
I rub my eyes, peaking them open to see my friends standing at the end of the bed trying not to look too suspicious. Everything is still a little foggy, but I'm awake enough to realize what they're staring at; I'm laying on my back, completely hogging the blanket might I add, and Jack is laying on his stomach next to me with his arm outstretched over my waist. Of course this would happen to me. It's no big deal, we were just sleeping and it doesn't even mean anything. It was an accident anyway, it's not like you can control what you do when you're asleep. I didn't even mean to fall asleep down here, I was intent on sticking to my plan of just hanging out for a bit and talking to the guys until Erin and Kate got tired enough so the three of us could go back upstairs and get a good nights rest. I guess I was more tired than I thought . . .
"Ah, shit," Cole sighs, tucking his phone into his pocket.
"What are you guys doing?" I ask, my voice sounding groggy and much less intimidating than I was going for. Erin gives Cole a knowing look, waiting for his answer.
He shrugs, looking like he's going to blow it off, which he does. "Uh... ya, um... not doing- anything. Nope. N-nothing. We were just going to go get breakfast."
Erin chuckles, "We're leaving in fifteen. Are you guys coming?" Alex, Trevor, Liam, and Kate all leave the room, clearly still tired, to get ready to go.
I nod, removing Jack's arm before shaking him awake. "Jack? Hey, it's time to wake up. We're going to breakfast." He groans and rolls over, peaking at me through squinted eyes.
"Thought we weren't having a sleepover, Wyatt. What are you still doing here?" Even as he tries to cover his face with his hand, the smirk on his lips is undeniable. So I roll out of bed, adjusting my t-shirt, and throw my hair back into a ponytail.
"Accidents happen, don't start feeling special, Hughes. Let's just go get breakfast, I'm hungry." At that, I follow Erin and Cole out of the room, but not before leaning back in to check on him. He's still sitting in bed, rubbing his face with his hands, "You coming, Jack?"
