Mrs Malfoy by law~ Draco x reader

It was Thursday which meant we finally got to find out what we had made earlier. Draco and I were walking to the class making pleasant conversation but when we opened the doors we stopped. In the room at every desk, there was a baby and baby supplies. I looked to Draco with shocked and wide eyes, this better not be our project.  I looked to see we were one of the first people here and none of my friends were here. I hesitantly took our seats where a baby was in a car seat. It looked like it was sleeping but it also looked like it wasn't breathing.

" So you were right about creating a monster," Draco mumbled and I nodded meekly. " They do know that it's a Hogsmead weekend and there's a Quidditch match tomorrow right?" He asked making me think. This just ruined our first date and I was going to have to look after them while Draco is doing Quidditch. 

" This is so stupid," I mumbled and he nodded staring at the baby. Once everyone came in the professor began speaking in her all to preppy way.

" Okay so as you can see there is a baby at each of your desks," She said as if we didn't already know this. " To help you with raising your children we have decided to give you these little bundles of joy to practice with! They are only going to grow until they are five so you can navigate through the toddler years and so forth. This assignment will last five weeks. They will act like real babies so take good care of them and they record all the mistakes. I will activate them and you guys can leave! There has also been a change to your apartment where you will go after this. Classes have been cancelled for tomorrow but the match is still on."

With a wave of her wrist, there was a great commotion as the babies began waking up. The little baby girl in front of us was wiggling about in the car seat as she cried. I looked to Draco as if asking what to do but he just shrugged. I unbuckled her and got her out cradling her. I know how to hold a baby I just don't know how to take care of them. I began cooing at her to try and calm her down which seemed to help but not that much. The professor was going around to groups to say why the baby was crying for just this once.

" Maybe try feeding her," She said handing me a bottle. I glared since how am I supposed to make baby food if I didn't have any? I gave her the bottle causing her to calm down.  " There now you guy can go." She told us as we got up. 

" How are we going to take care of a kid?" I asked as we walked back to the room. " We're kids Draco! We're just now getting along after fighting for seven years! How do they expect us to do this!" He started rubbing my back before he took the baby from me. I will say it was quite a sight to see his paternal side.

" We'll figure it out," He said kissing my forehead causing me to blush. I nodded as we walked into the room. I went upstairs trying to find the room they were talking about. Sure enough, there was a door on the other side of the hall that hadn't been there before. I opened it to see a white crib with a pink blanket thrown on the side. There were stuffed animals in the room along with a dresser and changing table. In one corner there was a stroller that was going to be hell to get downstairs. I walked over to the dresser to look at the clothes. They were adorable! 

" Draco come here!" I yelled down the stairs for him. He came up and into the room with the baby girl in his arms looking around confused. I pull out the perfect outfit that I could dress her in tomorrow. It was a green and black dress with black-green stripped socks along with black dress shoes. I pulled out a bow that had a snake emblem on the sides to put on her head. 

" That seems a little much," he said making me glare as I took the little girl in my arms. 

" Don't listen to him you'll look gorgeous! you can help me find some green to wear too," I told her making her giggle. 

" If you have any," He said making me hit him. " We need a name." 

" What about," I looked down at her as she looked to me with a big smile. " What about Cassiopeia?"  ( k AE- s ee- oh p EE-uh)I asked not really looking at him as I wrinkled my nose to make the little girl laugh. He didn't answer though causing me to look at him to see him staring at me. He was smiling and there was something in his eyes I couldn't identify but they were light and happy.

" I like it," He said nodding. " We can call her Cass, Casey, little pea." The last nickname made my heart flutter at the thought of him calling her a little pea. I nodded looking down at her as she laid her head down on my chest.

" I think she's tired daddy," I said looking to Draco to see him with a shocked expression on his face. I laughed patting him on the chest. " We're parents now Drac get used to it." He smiled shaking his head and grabbing clothes as I told him. I changed her diaper after a little struggle due to her kicking and changed her. 

" Is my nickname Drac now?" Draco asked as I laid Casey in her crib. I nodded not looking to him or taking my focus off her. I kissed her forehead and told her goodnight. " Night Pea," Draco said making me smile. Just an hour ago I didn't like the idea of being a parent but now I already loved this little human more than anything. I think my motherly instincts kicked in. I knew she'd only be asleep for a little bit since it was still early and this was probably just nap time. I looked down at her smiling.

" She has your hair," I commented pointing at the little tufts of platinum hair.

" She has your eyes," He said looking to me. I nodded remembering the e/c eyes that were staring up at us. " And your nose." With that, he poked my nose making me scrunch my nose up. He laughed at this, I stuck my tongue out at him making him laugh even more. 

" Do you have anything green I can wear tomorrow?" I asked after spending half an hour searching for something green. He went to his side of the dresser and pulled out a green jumped, a jersey, a scarf, sweat pants, socks, and a hat. I laughed as he continued pulling green out.

" Geez, Draco! Have enough green?" I asked as I looked through his clothes to make an outfit. 

" Do you have enough red?" He countered crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow.

" Touche," I said laughing. I was about to sort through the clothes and put the others away when there was a cry across the hall. I looked to Draco and got up but he told me to sit down while he got her. I threw the hat, jersey and scarf on the bed along with a pair of my black pants for the match. Draco came in holding Casey in his arms.

" You want mommy?" He asked the little baby making my heart soar. I held my arms out as he bent down to hand me her. I kissed the top of her head as she reached up to grab at my face. 

" You're so precious," I cooed making her gurgle. " Yes, you are. You're adorable."

" Just like your mum," Draco said making my cheeks go pink. " See that Cass I just embarrassed mommy." The little girl gurgled again smiling.

" Oh shush Draco," I said hitting his chest. he dramatically put a hand over his heart making Casey smile even more. " Since we only have five weeks with this adorable girl we should make the most out of it right Draco?" I asked looking up to him.

" Yeah," He agreed sitting beside me. " She only grows to be five years old so that'd mean every week she ages a year." I nodded feeling sad at the revolution that she wouldn't be here that much longer. I sighed seeing it was time for dinner but I did not feel like going to the Great Hall. 

" I'll make dinner if you want," Draco offered. 

" You know how to cook?" I asked acting surprised.

" See how mean she is to me?" Draco asked Casey making her reach for his face. He laughed kissing her hand before getting up. 

" You hungry babe?" I asked her getting up and telling Draco to make her a bottle while he was making us dinner. After we ate I changed Casey's diaper and put her to bed. " Hey, Draco since she'll probably get up throughout the night you want to sleep in the bed tonight?" I asked. he looked shocked before he smirked.

" Is this just an excuse for you to get me in bed?" He asked. I rolled my eyes shrugging.

" If you don't want to-" I started to say walking back to the bedroom but he cut me off.

" No, no it's fine I'd love to," He said. I nodded as we went into the room after getting changed I crawled into the bed with Draco soon following. I was planning on sleeping far apart but I felt his arm snake around my waist making me glad it was dark so he couldn't see the red of my cheeks. He pulled me against him as he said goodnight.
