When I woke up I was in bed alone making me worry slightly since Cass usually woke me up as soon as she got up. I looked around the apartment for them but there was no trace they were here. I went back to the room when I saw a note on his bedside table making me feel stupid for not noticing it earlier. I picked it up noticing it was Draco's handwriting.

I took Pea out for the day. Sorry, I didn't tell you earlier but she wanted to go now, we probably won't be back until lunch or dinner. Enjoy the day child-free! Sleep in and eat more too.

I smiled as I read it although I was kinda mad that they went for a day out without me. I had decided I was just going to lounge about until they got back. I had a nice set up on the couch when there was a knock on the door. I knew it wasn't them but it was getting late, it was dark out now. I opened it and saw Hermione and Cass. Cass was wearing a puffy pink long-sleeved dress with sparkles fading out from bottom to top. The top of the dress had gems on it along with the sleeves which were sheer. She had pink shoes on and a pink flower headband, her hair was put in a braided crown with pink (fake) hair in it.

" Hi?" I said but it came out as more of a question. " Why is she wearing that?" I asked again as they came in.

" It's a surprise that Blaise will show you to, go put on something nice he'll be here any second," She said and I wondered why Blaise was taking me to a surprise. Did Draco have something to do with it? No, he isn't this mysterious but where is he? Cass helped me pick out a nice dress that Draco's mum had sent me, it was a green and black dress. There was a slit in the leg and a deep V making me slightly self-conscious but Hermione and Cass told me I looked great. I braided my hair on both sides to where it connected to make a ponytail. I put on some buts since if I was walking I did not want to wear heels. I put some light pinkish make-up to contrast everything else I was wearing. Once I was done I went downstairs with Cass on my hip seeing Blaise was already down there with Harry, they were both in suits.

" Took you long enough," Harry teased making me roll my eyes. They held out their arms for me to take but instead, Harry held Cass' hand while I took Blaise's arm. 

" Come on I don't think we want to keep him waiting any longer," Blaise said. My heart was beating fast as I thought about what was happening. I think I knew what it was since it was close to the time up we had to get engaged but it still brought butterflies to my stomach. He could've just bought a ring signed the papers and that'd be it but he had put so much effort in this. As we walked down towards the black lake I could see the lights strewn about the trees and the candles that were floating. The snow that I knew was there before was now gone but it still fell around the place. I smiled as I saw him standing with his back to us. I could tell he was wearing a new suit and he had done his hair which meant he just put more gell in it. It still looked better than it had in the first year though.

" Draco," I heard Ron whisper making him turn around. Blaise let go of me and told me to walk up to him as Harry gave Cass something. Draco looked me up and down causing a blush to go to my cheeks. He didn't say anything until I got in front of him. His mouth kept moving like he wanted to say something but words were failing him. 

" You uh you look stunning," He said making me blush even more. I looked down at my feet unable to meet his eyes. There was sudden music making me jump slightly as I looked to Draco to see he was glaring at Ron. I giggled at this but the music was soothing. He looked back to me his eyes softening but I could see how his chest started moving up and down faster. He looked behind me and smiled causing me to look back. Cass was walking down the path-way holding a basic of ( favourite flower) and was throwing them out on the walkway before she got to me and Draco. She handed me a single ( Favourite flower) with a note on it. I unrolled the note as Cass stuck the flower in my hair after some difficulty and ran back to Blaise and Harry who soon left with Ron.

I know I can be a git and this whole marriage law is stupid but I'm glad it happened and that you gave me a chance. In just these past months alone you have made me so much happier than I ever thought I deserved. I never understood what people meant when they say that someone is their rock or their light in the dark times until I met you. You unknowingly pulled me out of a dark place and I can never repay you for that I just hope that maybe in the years that follow I can show you how much I truly care for you.

" Oh Draco," I said after I read the note. I looked at him to see he was on one knee and he had a box in his hands. He looked so nervous as I put a hand over my mouth to keep me from crying. 

" Y/n Granger will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?" He asked opening the box to reveal an emerald stone with rubies in the band. I nodded not being able to say anything as he slipped it on my finger and stood up. I threw my arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around my waist. I let the tears fall freely as we stood there. 

" Draco all of this, it's so beautiful," I siad once we pulled away. He smiled gently wiping the tears off my cheeks.

" Not as beautiful as you my dear," He whispered before leaning in. As our lips connected it felt like electricity was running through my body. I put my hands around his neck running my hands through his hair as he held me tight against him. There was a sudden force on my legs causing me to break away and look down at what it was. Cass was hugging our legs with the biggest smile on her face. I laughed picking her up.

" Are you guys in love now?" She asked. I looked to Draco who looked at me with that strange emotion again but this time I knew what it was, it was love. 

" Yes we are dear," I said making her smile even more. She curled against me with a yawn. I kissed the top of her head as Draco and I started going back to the castle. " What about the decorations?" I asked and he gave me a smirk.

" We'll let Weasley, Potter and Zabinni do that," He said. " We have more important things to do." With that, he gave me a wink making me blush even more as I stood still before catching up to him.
