It's been a couple of weeks since we've started at Hogwarts and Draco and I are friends I'd say. Ever since my birthday, he's been nicer and I'm grateful for that. Draco loved hearing about muggle contraptions so when we both couldn't sleep that's what we would do. We had spent countless nights laughing and telling each other stories but then morning came and he went back to being slightly off. Today was no different, I had woken up in the room gone downstairs told Draco to get up and went to do my daily routine.

" Granger! I can't find my tie!" He yelled from downstairs and I rolled my eyes thinking this is what the rest of my life was going to be like.

" I don't know Malfoy I'm not your wife!" I yelled back before I thought about it since I was going to be and I heard his footsteps coming up and he had a smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes brushing out my hair.

" You will though," He said the smirk still plastered on his face. Then he put on a mock thinking face. " What engaged in about three months?"

" Mhm and I still won't look after your things," I said smirking at him. He laughed and I rolled my eyes once again smiling. He looked around the room for his tie and once he found it he cheered and I would've rolled my eyes if I wasn't putting make-up on. He scrunched his nose as he walked over to the vanity looking at what I was doing.

" Are you putting on make-up?" He asked and I nodded. " Why?"

" So I can look at least decent," I said looking at him through the mirror.

" Dear, I have to see you in the mornings when your hair and face are at the absolute worse," I hit him as he said this but he just continued. " And you still look decent."

" Oh shut up Malfoy," I said rolling my eyes but also smiling. " I look better than you." To prove my point I messed up his perfectly gelled hair, although it wasn't nearly as greased back like first year. He looked in the mirror than to me appalled as I grabbed my stuff and hurried out.

" Come back here Granger!" He yelled as I ran out of the room laughing. I saw the amusement flash through his eyes before I got outside seeing the golden trio. They looked at me as if I was crazy as I laughed looking back at the door before deeming I could stop running. Hermione tilted her head to the side inspecting the door and my goofy grin.

" What on earth happened?" She asked but before I could answer our door opened up and Draco stood with his hair back to normal as he looked at me. He was glaring but not one of his old evil glares but a playful one that was full of mischief. I looked at my friends than to Draco as he stepped closer to me a mischievous grin playing on his lips.

" Bye!" I yelled to my friends running from the blond-headed boy. He stared after me for a few seconds before running off after me. I was laughing the whole time as my friends shook their heads but couldn't contain their smiles as they were happy that I wasn't stuck with an unhappy life.

I bolted towards the Great Hall laughing not noticing the stares from my peers. Draco was getting closer to me and I made a sharp turn deciding last minute to go outside hoping to get him off my tail but it only delayed him a bit. Once outside I decided to look back and saw he was really close so I sped up a bit then so did he. Once he caught me I screamed as I laughed, he was smiling as he picked me up by the waist. I huffed annoyed that he caught me but I didn't want this moment to end. He set me back on the ground looking down to me and laughed.

" You messed your hair up more by the way," I said laughing and pointing towards his hair. He groaned a little in annoyance before smiling.

" That's your fault then Granger," He said and I rolled my eyes shaking my head.

" Your the one who decided to chase me," I pointed out and he just shrugged.

" It was fun, you have to admit that," He said and I nodded as we entered the school again. " I mean you did mess up my hair, it was perfect! Then you just went and ruined it, I had to. It was very rude," He told me as we stood outside the doors to the Great Hall.

" I mean I had to mess your hair up. It's your only redeeming quality that makes you slightly better looking than me," I said laughing as he rolled his eyes. We opened the doors but before we split ways he grabbed my wrist.

" You shouldn't wear make-up, you look decent without it," He said but smirked and somehow I knew he didn't mean I look just decent but more but he wouldn't admit it. I tried pushing the blush that crept to my cheeks but I couldn't.

" You look decent with your hair messed up Malfoy," I said smirking at his shocked expression. " Bye Malfoy see you in potions."

" Bye Granger," He said turning towards the Slytherin table as I made my way to the Gryffindor table smiling slightly as I did. As I sat down I noticed the stares of my friends and gave them a questioning look. They looked to the Slytherin table before back to me as if asking to explain.

" I messed up his hair, he got mad, I ran, he chased, we talked, I'm eating," I said shrugging and they all nodded giving me the ' I don't believe you but okay' look. After a long silence between all of us besides Ron eating, Hermione began hitting my shoulder. I looked up at her annoyed but she looked at the Slytherin table so my eyes made their way there too. Draco was staring at me with that perfect- I mean stupid- smile on his face. I waved and he waved back grinning like an idiot before Blaise nudged his shoulder making him look away.

Merlin Draco's got me under his curse.
