Izzy joined me in the garden at about 5 am.

"Did you sleep well?" She asked. I nodded as a reply.

"I know it's pretty hard on you. Your mom wanted you to live a life. We could have raised you here but she wanted you to have fun, make friends and as I said live a life." When stayed in comfortable silence for a while.

"I know you wanna go back. I miss it too. But I can't risk getting you killed. I would be at, at least 50% peace if I know that you'll be able to defend yourself when you're in danger." I understand what she meant.

"Just bear with me till then" I nodded.

"Let's begin then."

The first half of the day was preparing me physically. We had been warming up for 3 hours. I already feel drained out. I think I'm gonna pass out.

"What? Already tired?" She passed me a chocolate bar." I thought we were going to have fun but you're finishing it before it even began."

I didn't say anything. She did give me breaks. But she's very strict when we're training. Especially when she's teaching. I sighed.

"Can we rest for a while? "

"What do you think we're doing?"

Then next was my basic lesson in fighting. She made me run 20 laps, fifty push-ups, whatnot. The best part was combat but I was too tired to have a chance. How she was with the same enthusiasm is a question. Me, I was crawling on the ground.

" I think we can call it off now" Those were golden words to my ear right now.

"Rest now. We will start on controlling your ability after lunch. I think you can have two hours off" finally.

I took a shower, changed, then jumped into my bed.

I saw him lying there, in a pool of blood. I didn't move, I couldn't.  Then the next second I was in a luxurious room, in front of a mirror. The reflection was not mine but his. I stared at the reflection as his wounds healed.

"I hate feeling like this" I yelled. No, he yelled smashing the glass table as it shattered.

And instant pain shot through my veins then it stopped.

"Why! " He yelled again. 'Helpless, unloved, and painful' was how I felt. For some reason, I think it's how he felt.

"It will be fine" I whispered unsure of what I am doing. I met his midnight eyes in his reflection as they looked back at me with confusion and shock. And then I drifted away.

I woke up. I still have 20 minutes before I head down to have lunch. Izzy has bought all my belongings. I opened the cupboard and found my journal. I wrote everything about how I felt. All about the discovery and how I feel about it. And how 'Cinixta' has been on my mind since the morning of my birthday. Should I ask Izzy about it? Maybe.

"Hey, Glad you're not asleep considering you're developing a new habit of constant sleeping" Izzy joked as she sat next to me. I gave her my signature look and shook my head like she's gone crazy. She is not lying though.

"Izz?"

"Hmm?" At this point, we're both lying on our backs facing the ceiling.

"Do you know anything about Cenixta?" I turned to face Her.

"What?" She asked as I stared at her when she didn't reply. I raised an eyebrow.

"Where did you hear about it?"

"For some reason every time I wake up it is the only thing on my mind. It has been so since my birthday."

"do you remember what happened in your dream?" she asked with an expression that screamed trouble.

"Nope, not a single thing. It's blank." I told her.

"Even I wondered why. I tried to remember but nothing came."

"Cenixta..." she started at a corner of the room in deep thought. She looked like that name was troubling her. I placed my hand on her shoulder and it made her look at me as I thought it would.

"It is very sacred to the Ramoxz. It is the place where they worship the demon blood. It is the place where your mother...." she trailed off. A stray tear rolled down my cheek. I hastily wiped it away.

"It's okay to cry Eve " I blinked twice.

"It's okay to cry "she repeated again.

"Don't keep it to yourself." I nodded.

"I know" But every time I want to cry I only remember the times when my mom wiped my tears and said it'll hurt her seeing me cry. Izzy took a deep breath.

"I came to inform you that lunch is ready, come join me?"

"I'll be there in a min"

"You better young lady," She said pointing straight at my nose, imitating our school principle. I laughed.

"I better" She left.

I washed my face and I stared at my eyes. I miss her.

"I wish you were here mom. I wish you were the one to teach me about all these things. I wish you were here with me....."

After lunch, Izzy took me to a room covered with mirrors.

"See your eyes there?" I nodded. "I want you to make it glow." I stared at her.

"Easy for you t say. I don't know how to do it!" She walked near me.

"Watch" She closed her eyes and when she opened it, The black was slowly washed away by what looked like fire and turned into red irises.

"Focus on what you want it to become. It will become what you want." She said.

I walked closer to the mirror. I knew how my eyes looked when they were blue as I've seen it a couple of times. I focused on the blue. I don't know how long I've been doing it. Finally, I felt something rushing to my eyes as they started to glow. I smiled triumphantly at my victory.

"Finally" Izzy sighed.

"It seemed like hours," I told her.

"It is"

"What do you mean?"

"It's been 4 hours since you started doing it," she said.

"Are you serious?"

"dead serious" And that made us laugh.

" When your eyes start to glow you can use your powers to the maximum. But you have to not do it. " I waited for her to explain.

"If your eyes glow it will only grab attention, Tomorrow I'll teach you how to use your powers without making your eyes glow"

"Then why did you teach me how to make them glow?"

"Since you know how to do it, It will be easy to not to do it"

"Seriously?"

"dead serious"  This girl, you know...

"Wait up. I don't wanna get lost"
