Chapter 19| Valentines Day

Colby's POV

Today was Valentine's Day. The day I get to spend time with Angelina. I was taking her out to dinner, then I had a surprise for her in my apartment. She told me she liked simple, so that's what I did. Simple just for Angelina.

Right now, I was getting dressed. I already had took a shower. I just put on black jeans, stripped shirt with pink panther imprinted on it. A pink beanie and my black converse. Then topped it off with a black jean. Angelina FaceTimed me earlier and showed me what she was going to wear.

She wasn't even in the outfit or anything. I just already knew she was going to look amazing tonight.

I put on cologne and got one last look in the mirror. I grabbed my things, especially the flowers. They were sunflowers, her favorite. I headed out the door. I told Angelina I was gonna come get her since I had the set up in my living room already.

I walked to her apartment and knocked on her door. She answered quickly. She looked absolutely gorgeous. The most beautiful person I've ever seen. She was wearing a red cropped tank top with light wash high rise jeans. She had on her cropped black jean jacket. She was wearing her red vans. She had on light makeup, like always.

"Hey, Happy Valentines Day." I said softly as I hugged her. She hugged back and kissed my cheek. "Happy Valentines Day." She pulled away from the hug smiling. I pulled my arm out from behind my back and handed her the flowers with a smile on my face.

"Oh, Colby." She pouted her lip in awe and took the flowers. She smelled them. "My favorite. They are so beautiful. Thank you." She smiled and kissed my cheek. I kissed hers back. "Oh, you look very beautiful." I mentioned.

"Thank you. You are too cute!" She said as she pinched my cheek. She quickly put the flowers in a vase filled up with water. "Okay, we can go now." She grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. I smiled to myself.

"I was gonna wear pink today. But red is my favorite color, so I had to." She giggled as we walked hand in hand to the parking garage. "Red is still your favorite?" I laughed softly.

"Of course. I love the color red." She giggled softly. "Well, black is still my favorite." We both laughed.

We made it to my car. I opened the passenger door for Angelina. She smiled and hopped in. I walked over to the other side and hopped in as well. I turned on my engine. "Can I have the aux?" She asked softly.

"Yeah, go ahead." I said as I gave her the aux. "Thanks." I hummed in response. She started playing Best Friend By Rex Orange County.

"I love this song. I think of you every time I hear it." She looked at me and smile. I turned my gaze away from the road to look at her for a second.

She suddenly put her hand on mine that was placed on my lap. I smiled, still having my gaze on the road. I intertwined my fingers with hers. She was just singing beautifully to the song.

After about 25 minutes of driving, we arrived at the restaurant. This restaurant was...Fancy, I should say. We walked hand in hand inside. It was filled with a lot of people, but not too packed. Which was good.

I already had reserved a table for me and Angelina. "This place is nice." She looked up at me. "Yeah, I already have a table reserved for us." I said as I looked down at her.
