Chapter 11| Sober Thoughts

Colby's POV

Today was Saturday. Me, Sam, Jake, and Corey were going to the club tonight. We haven't been to the club in a while. Yesterday was fun. But I just couldn't stop thinking about something. Angelina. She fell on top of me and stayed like that, looking into each other's eyes.

Right now it was 5pm. Me and the guys were gonna head to the club around 9:00 pm. I got all my errands done Today. My phone suddenly started ringing. I picked up my phone and checked who it was. It was Sam. "Hello?" I said through the phone. "Hey Man, in about 2 hours you wanna go to dinner with me and the boys? Then walk around downtown before we hit the club?" Same asked. "Yeah sure, let me start getting ready, then." I told him. "Alright, see you in 2 hours. Bye Bruva."

"Goodbye, Bruva." I said jokingly as he hung up the phone. I went to my bathroom to take a shower and start getting ready. Once I got done getting ready, I checked my phone for the time. 6:58pm. The boys should be coming around 7:30 to we can go out for dinner and walk around downtown a bit.

After waiting about 30 minutes for the boys to show up. There was a knock at my door. I walked over and opened it. It was Sam, Jake, and Corey. "Wassup, Bruvas." I said to them. "Ready to go? Bruva" Corey asked. "Yeah, lets go." I said as I shut my door behind me. We all walked down to the Lobby. We took a Uber to the restaurant we were heading to. We arrived at a restaurant. We been here like once for Katrina's Birthday. It was pretty good.

I was in the mood for pasta. So I ordered pasta. Me and the boys were having a good time while eating dinner. We always do when we're together. After we payed and left, we started walking around Downtown. "So, Colby, what's going on between you and Angelina?" Jake asked while smirking. "What do you mean?" I chuckled.

"Oh c'mon, it's obvious you have a crush on her and she has one on you." Jake said. Does Angelina like me? Does she have deep feelings like I do? "I mean, I do have feelings for her. It's like I never felt that way before for her. But I don't know Man, that just changed all of us sudden." I explained to Jake. "Of course you would catch feelings for her, she's been your best friend since you guys were 17." Corey tagged along.

"When do you plan on telling her?" Sam asked, joining the conversation. "I don't know man, I tried the other day, but of course I got interrupted." I said. "Yeah, that shit usually happens every time you try to tell someone how you feel." Jake chuckled. "That shit gets annoying as hell, though." I said. Me and the boys laughed.

"Well you guys ready to head to the club?" Sam asked us. "Hell yeah!" I cheered. Jake and Corey cheered along with me. We called another Uber to head to the club. Once our Uber arrived, we hopped in and drove to our destination.

We arrived at the club. Me and the boys hopped off the car and got in line to get our ID's checked. We were up next in line. We got our ID's checked and went straight inside. Me and the boys headed to the bar. I got 2 shots of vodka and so did Jake. "3..2..1" Jake counted.

We downed both shots. The liquor burned in my throat. "You good, Bruva!?" Jake shouted over the loud music. "Yeah! Let's get some more!" I asked for 3 more shots and downed them. "Slow down, Man!" Sam shouted over the music. "I'm good, Man!" I shouted back.

"You gonna get a drink, Corey!?" I shouted to him. "Yeah, in the mood for a margarita." Corey laughed. I continued to order more shots. I felt the liquor kicking in. The boys kept telling me to go easy on the shots, but of course I didn't listen. I went to the dance floor with the boys. I was pretty tipsy. Not even close to being a bit sober.
