Chapter 16| First Date

Angelina's POV

I called Devyn and put it on speaker as I applied mascara. I got ready to head to the mall today. It was mine and Colby's first date tonight. All the other girls were busy, so my only option was Devyn.

She picked up on the 5th ring. "Hello?" She said softly through the phone. "Hey Dev. I was wondering if you wanted to come to the mall with me." I said as I put away my mascara.

"Yes, I actually wanted to go as well." Devyn said. "Perfect. Should I meet you at your place?" I asked. "Yes, we can take my car if you'd like." She said. "Yeah, that sounds good. I'll see you in 15." We both hung up the phone.

I got one last look in the mirror and headed out. I got to my car in the parking garage and hopped in. I connected my phone to my Bluetooth and shuffled my playlist. Then I drove away to Devyns apartment.

I got to her complex. I parked my car and walked to her apartment. I arrived and knocked on her door. I heard her footsteps on the other side. She swung the door open. "Hey, Angelina." She said hugging me. I hugged her back. "Hey Devyn."

"Let me grab my purse and we can head out." She said walking to her living room. I waited for her. She then walked back to the door closing it behind her. "Okay, lets go." She said unlocking her car. We both hopped in.

Devyn started her engine and drove away to the mall. "So, what did you wanna get from the mall." She asked as she focused on the road. "Well I really need someone thing for my date tonight." I said looking out the window. "A date!" Devyn shouted. She startled me a bit.

"Yes. I have a date with Colby tonight." I reassured her. "Finally!" She squealed. I just giggled. "I'm so happy for you." She said softly. "Thank you, Devyn." I looked at her and smiled.

We arrived to the mall after about 20 minutes of driving. We hopped off the car and walked inside the mall. "Okay, which store do you wanna go to first?" Devyn asked. "Um, Forever 21? I usually find nice clothes there." I said to her. "Forever 21 it is."

We headed to Forever 21 and walked inside. "We need to find you something that's your style and suits you." Devyn said. She grabbed my hand and she took started searching. "This looks nice. What do you think?" Devyn asked as she held out a top for me.

It was a simple Black crop top, not too short though. Which was perfect. It tied perfectly at the front bottom. "I love it. Just my style." I said. Devyn smiled.

"Perfect. Do you wanna get one last look?" She asked. "Nah, I already like the top you picked out for me." We walked to the cashier after Devyn picked something out for herself.

We headed back to her apartment. "Well, thank you for coming with me, Devyn." I smiled. "Anytime, girlie." She smiled back. "I should get going. Gotta get ready for this date." I unlocked my car. "Okay, text me how it went." She said as we hugged goodbye. We pulled away.

I hopped into my car and drove back to my apartment. I walked to my apartment and rushed inside. I was super excited for our date. It was all I could really think about. I quickly ran over to my bathroom and took a shower.

After about 15 minutes of being in the shower, I got out. I walked to my room and exchanged my towel for my robe. I went back into my bathroom and brushed my teeth and hair and did everything else I needed to do.
