Chapter 21| Official

Colby's POV

March 14, 2019. It was currently, 2:19 am. I was laying in bed, starring at my ceiling. I couldn't sleep. I was thinking about Angelina. I was ready to make us Official.

Last week, I bought her a necklace. It was a gold necklace with two little heart charms. I got both of the hearts engraved with mine and hers initial. A and C.

I was nervous. I was ready though. Ready for her to be my official girlfriend. I've been waiting for this moment after 2 months of us just, well..dating technically.

It was Now or Never. I got up and put on a hoodie since I already had on sweatpants. I slipped on my converse. I grabbed the little box with the necklace inside.

I grabbed my keys and my backpack, which had just water and the necklace. I was going to take her to the beach. I headed over to her apartment. I knocked on her door. I waited a while, but no answer. So I had to call her.

Angelina's POV

I was asleep, until I heard my phone ringing. I squinted my eyes open and groaned. I reached over to my nightstand and grabbed my phone. It was Colby calling. I suddenly felt nervous.

"Colby?" I said through the phone softly. "Get dressed, we're going somewhere." Colby said. "Are you taking me back up to the Hollywood sign again?" I rubbed my face. "No, just get out here." He hung up the phone. I threw my head back and sighed.

I got out of bed and changed into sweatpants and a hoodie. I slipped on my slip on vans. I quickly brushed my teeth since I was asleep. I grabbed my phone and headed out the door.

Colby was right there waiting for me. "Where are goi-" I didn't even finished. Colby quickly grabbed my hand and led me to the elevator.

"Colby, where are we going?" I asked him as we walked to his car. "You'll see." That's all he said. I just hopped in his car. "Sorry I had to wake you up this early again." He said softly while turning on his engine.

"It's okay, Colbs." He started driving away. "I'm guessing we're doing something familiar to the hike since you brought a backpack." I looked in the backseat. "Yeah, you're gonna like this, though." He said. I smiled.

We've been driving for 25 minutes now. I realized the direction we were going in. "Wait, are going to the beach?" I asked as I turned my gaze to Colby. "I don't know, are we?" He chuckled as he had his eyes on the road. I smiled and rolled my eyes, jokingly.

"Okay, we're here." Colby said as he turned the car off. We both hopped off the car. "So, what are we doing here?" I asked Colby as the cold breeze hit both of our bodies. He grabbed my hand. "Follow me." He said.

We started walking along the sand. "Where are you taking us?" I giggled. "Just wait." Colby said softly. We were still walking. I then saw a huge rock that sat along the shore. "Do you see that rock?" I asked Colby.

"Yes. That's where I'm taking you." He looked back at me and smiled. We got to the rock. "How do we exactly get up?" I asked. "I got a way." He started climbing the rock. "Just do what I do." Colby said, still climbing the huge rock.

He got to the top. "C'mon!" He shouted from up there. I went to where he started climbing. I just followed what he did. Once I got to the top, he put his hand out for me. I grabbed it as I pulled my self up onto the rock.
