Chapter 44: Trip to England

Sadie pov

I couldn't believe that Percy would kill someone without thinking. I nearly cried when I saw the horrific scene, but Percy had comforted me and told me that's its gonna be okay. I went back to Brooklyn house and told Carter that I was going to London, so that I could visit my grandparent and mates. Carter gave replied with a classic "you can't go because its dangerous" speech. I told him " its okay Carter, I'm taking Percy with me so that our grandparents can meet him." "Still. I don't want a repeat of when Babi and Nekhbet attacked you." Sure Carter's a bit overprotective but I can take care of myself.

When Sadie told me that she's taking me to London, I was a bit hesitant at first considering what I did to Zeus a couple of days ago. However, we made it to London safely, and we went to see Sadie's friends first. When we landed, Sadie took me to meet her friends. We found them in an open air plaza, and when we found them Sadie yelled "LIZ,EMMA!" I wanted to laugh at how childish Sadie was, but deep down I knew that she had not seen her friends in a long time. Anyways, we were hanging out at the food court in the Cardinal Place mall, where we all ordered from some Japanese restaurant, with me paying of course. Sadie got something called Chawanmushi (an egg custard dish. However, it is usually eaten as a dish in a meal, as chawanmushi contains savory rather than sweet ingredients. The custard consists of an egg mixture flavored with soy sauce, dashi, and mirin, with numerous ingredients such as shiitake mushrooms, kamaboko, yuri-ne (lily root), ginkgo and boiled shrimp placed into a tea-cup-like container.), Liz got Sushi with Sashimi (thinly sliced raw fish), Emma got a salad called Hitashi-mono (boiled green-leaf vegetables bunched and cut to size, steeped in dashi broth,eaten with dashes of soy sauce. Another item is sunomono , ("vinegar item"), which could be made with wakame seaweed, or be something like a kōhaku namasu , ("red white namasu")made from thin toothpick slices of daikon and carrot.), and me? well I got a medium Miso Ramen with a large Coke, and Sadie, Liz, and Emma got something called Ribena.

After the mall, the four of us ( Sadie, Liz, Emma, and me) went to see Sadie's grandparents. When we arrived at their house they were delighted to see Sadie.

Sadie pov

I novked on Gran and Gramps door. Gran had opened it and when she saw me she said "Sadie! What a pleasant surprise. I thought that you had forgotten about us."

"I could never forget my two best mates and grandparents." Just then Percy said "Ouch Sadie that hurt. I thought that I was your best friend."

I laughed and told him "Percy, your my boyfriend and saviour. No one could ever replace you in my life."

Percy laughed and we all walked over to Gran and Gramps' backyard, where I had introduced Percy to my grandparents and told Gran, Gramps, Liz, and Emma everything.
