Chapter 47: Start of the Roman and German Offensives

Percy pov

Filip's reinforcements arrived 2 days after the battle of Giza. The Twelfth Legion Fulminata and the Thirteenth Legion Gemina reported directly to Filip when they arrived. The plan was  that Filip take charge of the Twelfth legion, and Filip's old colleague Justiniis Tiberius Maximus takes control of the Thirteenth legion.

I went to talk to Filip, but he was in a meeting. I waited 3 hours for Filip's meeting to finish. When he came out of the conference room I asked him "What happened?"  He said "They changed the plan. They're sending German troops for me to command. Apparently, they don't know anyone else who can speak German, so they picked me." I asked him "So who's going to lead the Roman legions?"

He looked at me and said "I put Reyna and Jason in charge of the Roman legions. Anyways, my men are arriving in 30 minutes. So I'm going to prepare."  With that he left.

Time skip: 30 minutes later

Filip pov

I walked outside and noticed that the hunters of Artemis were staring at me. I simply ignored them since I have more important matters to deal with. I walked over and saw the German flag in the distance. However, it wasn't the modern one. It was the one from 1933-1945. Now I was scared.

One man walked stepped in front of me and saluted me. J saluted him back. He said "Heil der Vaterland. Ich bin Obergruppenführer Hans Junff von der Whermacht. Berlin sagt, man solle Deutschland in diesem Krieg zu Ruhm verhelfen und dem Feind die wahre Macht des Dritten Reiches zeigen." I told him "Ich werde tun, was ich kann. Ich verspreche nichts."

I told the high ranking officers to meet  me inside and we came up with a plan. We reviewed the plan with the troops, and just as we were going to leave, Thalia came up to me and said "Filip wait."

I turned around and said "Yes Thalia?"  She grabbed my head and pulled me into a passionate kiss which lasted 2 minutes. When we pulled out I heard my men wolf-whistling and cheering. I turned around angry and told them " Warum jubeln Sie? Schauen Sie stramm nach vorne und seien Sie bereit zu marschieren. Ihre deutschen Soldaten, nicht irgendwelche betrunkenen Schwachköpfe, die zum ersten Mal eine Waffe in die Hand genommen haben. Zeigen Sie diesen Leuten, wie die Soldaten des Führers sind."

They a turned around and in unison stood at attention, and answered "JA HERR REICHSFÜHRER!" I smiled and Thalia blushed. I told her that I would come back. With that me and my men set off to conquer the enemies territory. Reyna and Jason set out after the enemies supply lines. Now, the war truly begins, and the enemy wi be brought to their knees. After all, a wise leader once said "Strength lies not in defence, but in attack."

Now Kronos should pray that he lives to see the end of this war.
