Chapter 48: The conquering of El-Alamein

Filip pov

Me and my troops started marching towards North Africa, in order to secure some strategic coastal cities. Me and all the high ranking officers decided to take El-Alamein first. I decided to call Rommel and Guderian, since they are both genius when it comes to using Panzers on the battlefield. The plan is simple. Rommel and Guderian will Blitzkrieg Kronos' army in El-Alamein while me and my men proceed to take out their navy and steal their resources.

When we were almost there, I noticed that we were being followed. I told m men to stop and get into defensive positions just in case we were followed by something hostile. I shouted into the woods "Show yourself. We know you're there. You might as well come out." Just then Thalia and the hunters of Artemis revealed themselves. I asked her "Thalia, what are you doing here?" She told me "I wanted to follow you to make sure that you were telling the truth. I also wanted t\some of the new hunters to get some good combat action, and learn from a pro." I told her "Look Thalia, as much as I appreciate her doing this, I don't want you risking your life for me. I'm a soldier. Besides, I don't want any of my men getting distracted or castrated." Now Thalia was fuming mad. She told me "Look, we'll help you whether you like it or not." I sighed. I told Thalia "Okay Thalia, if you want to help you can. However, you'll get sniper positions for this mission."

We arrived at El-Alamein in about a week. When we arrived we notice that Kronos' army was completely decimated. Not a single survivor was found. The only things that Rommel and Guderian left were packages of food, barrels of gasoline, and weapons. We just looted it and set up a [positions.

From El-Alamein, We marched towards Germany. We arrived their after a month. The first thing that we did was report to Berlin. From there we marched to Ireland. I contacted my friends in the IRA to help us. On the way to Ireland, we got a call from headquarters to come back as soon as we could.

It took us one month and a week to get back to headquarters. When we arrived they told us that me and Thalia along with some other people will be transefered to the intelligence division to be spies. When we were being given our locations, they asked us if we could speak the language needed. Me and Thalia had gotten Russia, and Percy asked us "Can you guys speak Russian?" I answered " Ya ne znayu. Vy govorite mne, tovarishch Dzhekson. Ya i Taliya vypolnim rabotu. Nevazhno, naskol'ko eto tyazhelo ili opasno."

Percy looked at me and Thalia and said "Well you guys are perfect for Russia. you're leaving tomorrow." With that me and Thalia left to pack. I packed a CZ-99, cyanide pills (incase I'm captured), lockpick, and a fiber wire.

Thalia pov

I couldn't believe that Me and Filip were put together. I also couldn't believe that Filip knew Russian. I went to talk to Filip about the mission. When I got to Filip's room I asked him "So what's the plan? Do we have secret code names and cars the fire missiles or am I watching too many spy movies?" He answered "Well Thalia, as much as I wish that we had all that stuff, we don't. We're keeping our real names, just having Russian passports. Follow me." I followed him outside where there was an Aston Martin. My eyes widened and I asked Filip "Is that an Aston Martin DB5?!" He said "Yep. Its the exact same one that was used in James Bond: No time to die." Filip then proceeded to explain everything to me. Basically Viktor is our "M", Bogdan is our "Q", and Filip is our 007. Then he told me that since I was his partner, I am 008. So, now we're off to Russia.
