After that incident earlier this week, Marcus has taken the lead to try and get us back on track. We went to the circus that came to town conveniently that weekend. And it didn't really help me feel any more welcome, like it was a facade supposed to make me forget about what happened. Still, I can't help but wonder if Dedsec really had suspicions about me before that. I mean they reacted, like on impulse. That must mean something, right?

Anyway, I've been talking to Wrench and actually gotten to know him a little. It's clear he wears the mask for a reason, most likely avoiding facial recognition. It seems to me that there's something he wants to tell me all the time, yet he won't. Guess I just need to wait until he gets his shit together. He tried yesterday to speak about whatever it is but he couldn't string the words together. He gave up just when I was getting the sentence together, he refused to continue afterwards and that was just sad. I really want to help him but I don't know how. Anyway, I need to track some people down in Silicon Valley. Wrench will have to wait until I'm finished with it.

About half an hour later...

I managed to make a trip to the Silicon Valley without getting lost. Then again I didn't walk here, I got on the tourist bus that takes people around all day in the Silicon Valley area. "You should be able to access the studio from a balcony, it's on the Eastern side of the building. I've been there once when we wanted to know the location of the car from Cyberdriver. I made the mistake of taking the front door, but I did manage it nontheless. You should have received the access to the doors by now, if they haven't changed the servers you should get in no problem. Just, while you're in there don't do anything stupid," Marcus says through the phone channel. "Remember to keep a low profile. If you need anything, we'll help from the Hackerspace or we'll send Marcus over there. And try to keep it clean," Josh adds before the line goes silent. "No need to worry. Tsk, try to keep clean, Hell all I ever do is clean," I say and get myself mentally ready. Here goes nothing. I walk through the front gates towards the studio building. Trying to look like one of the students and employees seems easy enough. "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, that balcony is so high up that you need to find something to climb. It's on a second floor,"  Marcus pipes up suddenly and says the last part as I land on the balcony. "I'm already on the balcony," I say quietly and Marcus seems to hear. "Wait, you're serious? How did you do that...? You know what now's not the time for this. Go and finish the mission," Marcus says and the line dies again. I look at the door in the corner and then take out my phone. I push a button and it opens. Creeping inside the building I notice that I'm in a studio room. There's a presentation room and the room I'm standing in is a small break room. I can see some monitors with video from all around the building. I look around the studio and come to realize the stuff I'm searching isn't here. "Guys, I think I'm in the wrong room. There's nothing whatsoever of interest here, besides the monitors on the wall. One of them is pointed towards a metal door in the back of the building. Seems interesting but they've probably installed it a little later after Marcus visited. Can anybody snoop around from the Hackerspace?" I ask and wait for answers. "I got you, just give me a code of one monitor," Marcus pipes up. "Just know I'm right outside the building. I'll be your getaway driver if need be," Marcus adds and I can see some movement in the staircase to the studio. I squat down and make my way behind the couch and stay as still as possible. "Did you hear what they were saying about those two groups?" I hear a guard say. "You mean Dedsec and Prime_Eight? Yeah, I heard. They both mean business, but Boss doesn't seem that worried. Should we be worried though?" The other guard asks. "I don't know, maybe. Doesn't seem like they're after any ordinary citizens though. Prime_Eight added a new member too. They got a picture of some woman starting a car in the middle of a forest road and a hacker name. They don't seem to know much about their own members. They don't have her age, height, nothing to let us know what type of a person we should look for if everything goes South. That's all the info they required us to submit when we applied for this job. Can't believe Boss actually paid for such a lousy job. That was the amount of my annual salary in one go," the guards start to move out of the studio. I can hear one last sentence. "We should just keep the documents inside that room safe, Boss needs them." Oh, interesting. "Yo, you guys heard that?" I ask the group. "Clear as day. Go get whatever documents they were talking about and get your ass out of there before shit hits the fan," I hear Sitara at the end of the line. "Roger," I say as I creep out of the studio and into the staircase.
