"So, I fainted after Lenni took over our servers and had a very nightmare-filled stay at your place afterwards, is that really how it went?" I ask as I give Wrench a spray paint can. "Pretty much yeah. You were mumbling a lot about knowing who your real enemy was and to be honest I thought you got possessed by something supernatural," Wrench says and sprays the paint over a template. "Well, maybe I was," I say holding back a giggle. Wrench turns to look at me, his mask switching from (^  ^) to (o  0), I couldn't hold back my laugh at that point. Wrench just looks at me like I just revealed the skeletons from my closet or something else just as terrifying. "(y/n), don't ever joke about something like that. Ghosts are real and they work with dolphins who are serial killers. I know it," he protests. "Why did you bring me to your place though?" I ask getting a little excited about the answer. I've been getting to know this guy for a month and a half now and I still don't know what draws me to him. Is it his quirky personality with the added side of violence towards chairs and tables. Or is it the mask which keeps me guessing what his face looks like underneath. Or... oh shit... not this stuff again. Did I learn nothing last time? Why must it always come to this? "I didn't want to leave you with anyone else. Besides, I've had some very lonely nights in that apartment. It was nice to finally have somebody there, even though you were sleeping, your presence still calmed me down. Then you started having nightmares and I was able to help you. I don't know why your presence has that calming effect on me, but I... I like it," Wrench stands up and pats my head like I was a cat when he says that last sentence. Goddamn it... This man is going to be the death of me. The robotic voice from the mask made that last sentence somehow adorable. "Are you okay? Thinking of me?" he says while his mask goes from (^ ^) to (~  ^). "No..." I trail off at the end giving no doubt the answer he wanted. "So you were," he chuckles and goes back to painting Wrench Jr, the Haum robot. I sit on the table with Wrench's tools and his laptop. The sledgehammer seems to be the most frequently used tool on the table, but I doubt there's anything in this garage that hasn't been thrown or dropped at least once. I rarely see anyone fixing anything, the Cyberdriver car was "fixed" sure but it wasn't broken before that either. "Fuck!" Wrench yells and I duck out of the way of an approaching tool. Wasn't he painting just a moment ago? Wrench is squating next to Jr and holding his hand. "You okay Wrench?" I ask as I walk to him and squat to investigate. His hand is bleeding. "Let's go and get you fixed," I say taking his non-bleeding hand and pulling him to the first aid kit.

After 10 minutes and a bunch of swearing later...

"Why does alcohol hurt when it's poured on your skin but it feels great when consumed internally?" Wrench questions himself while I'm putting away the first aid kit. "I don't know, but I'm sure there's an explanation. I think it might be the fact that your intestines are used to consuming liquid, your skin on the other hand is not, especially with a flesh wound," I say as I reach the corner of the room and place the kit on the shelf. Wrench looks at his hand a while and then asks something. "Where did you learn all the stuff you know? It can't just be a coincidence that you know so much about wounds and how to patch somebody up," he says looking at me. I sigh and sit next to him on the couch in the garage. "You don't know me. Even if you tried, you wouldn't completely get me. And it's a long story anyway," I say and Wrench just looks at me for a while before he pipes up. "Try me. We were supposed to lay low, so a long story won't hurt," he says while his mask lights up, (^ ^). "Alright then, we better get to the Hackerspace then. If I only tell you, you'll fly with the info for a few hours and then everyone else is going to get mad at me for only telling you," I say and get up from the sofa. Wrench jumps up and texts Marcus to get everyone some snacks and drinks.

We go through the backroom door and down the stairs. We can see the rest of the group sitting on the sofa and the few chairs in the tiny living room-like corner of the Hackerspace. "Hello guys," I say as I take a seat next to Sitara on one of the chairs. Sitara seems excited about something. "What is it Sitara?" I ask and she just basically bursts. "We managed to get rid of Lenni, our servers are safe again. Hopefully that's going to be the last we see her on our own monitors. Marcus got a hold of some weird item that radiates energy, that's the part I wanted to reveal the most. That day when you said you arrived, we got a signal for a powerful energy source. We believe that item Marcus found arrived with you from wherever you came," Sitara says excitedly. So that's what that was about. I had a weird feeling that day when I exited that time loop. "In what form did you find it in?" I ask Marcus and he points at his backpack in the corner. Wrench picks it up and hands it to me. "I can feel it," I say as I take hold of the bag. Carefully I unzip the backpack and look inside. Shit, this fucking thing. I know very well the origin of the item. "I know what it is and where it came from," I say as I still look in the bag. "Well what is it then, kid?" Ray asks and points at the backpack. "It's a long story. Which I'll tell you now," I say and zip the bag shut and put it on the floor.
