Chapter 4

----

The four cats all ran down the hill at the sight, wanting to see if anybody was hurt. AE2 not caring at all that her wings were visible, at the moment, safety was more important. They skipped the path that was laid out on the grass, moving their legs as fast as possible to reach the houses. A crowd of cats started to surround the houses, Jason being one of them.

“Jason!” called Seto as he ran up to him, “What happened?”

Jason seemed more annoyed more than worried as he spoke, “I don’t know! It just clasped! Fell down without a reason! Now I have to buy a new telescope…” his words trailed off as he growled with anger.

“Whose house was that?” asked AE2 who ran a little slower than Seto.

“It was mine!” Jason nearly barked at her.

“Hey man, no need to get all snappy,” said Adam as he tried to calm down his friend.

Jason was about to yell something else when Seto stood in between Adam and Jason. “You can stay at my place, okay?” Seto stared at Jason with a serious look, “It is incredibly chaotic at the moment, but we can clean it up.”

Jason sighed as his posture relaxed. “Thank you,” he gave a warm smile to Seto, even though he was still mad at the sudden collapse, he figured his house would be fixed as soon as he had the money.

“What about the other buildings?” asked Ty, who looked very worried.

“I don’t know…” Seto picked up his pace to a run as he dashed towards the home that was closer to the castle than the others that were crushed under an invisible weight. Cats were everywhere, but moved out of the way as Seto had appeared. He walked up to the front of the crowd, staring at the destruction that had happened so suddenly.

“Is everyone okay?” asked a cat in the distance.

“No one was hurt,” replied another cat, “the house was empty when it collapsed.”

Murmurs started to arise in the crowd as soon as this was heard, all them trying to come up with conclusions to how this event had happened. They seemed to grow louder and louder until one of them shout loud and clear, “It was the nova spirit! He did this!” The cats gasped as they all dropped their conclusions and went with that one. Their gazes dropped down to Seto’s direction, staring at him with pure hatred and fear. Some yelled at him, while others backed away, not willing to put up a fight with the cat they feared the most.

Anger flowed from Seto as the cats continued scream at him. I didn’t do it, he thought in his mind, Why do they always think its me!

AE2, being completely oblivious of the situation, walked up to Seto in a calm manner. Cats gasped at the sight of her wings, while others continued to seethe even more with anger, continuing to advance towards Seto with threatening claws. “What’s wrong Seto? Why do they keep screaming about this nova spirit guy? Who is he anyway?”

“I...I’m the nova spirit,” Seto whispered so quietly that AE2 could barely hear what he was saying, “And they think I destroyed the houses.”

“But we were never near this place when it happened, why would they blame you?” AE2’s confused face made Seto slightly guilty for not telling her about this, but he held it back so she couldn’t see it.

AE2 squealed as someone grabbed the scruff of her neck and started pulling her away from  Seto. She struggled to get out of the grip in response, for she was at a defenseless position.
