#23 || A Whole New World

TIME SKIP: 6 Years

Age: 22/23/25

*Lily's POV*

Ever since I decided to come here to Alice Springs, I just moved here permanently. Mum and Dad, surprisingly, seemed to be okay with it.

The down side is, I haven't seen Luke for 6 years. The last time I saw him was when he left for the Take Me Home tour, they are much bigger and better as a band but I felt like I had caused way too much drama between them and that made me feel really guilty.

However, I enjoyed my - I suppose - new life in Alice Springs, it really was a beautiful area.

I moved out of granny's house 2 years ago when she passed away, and SURPRISE SURPRISE Luke couldn't make it to the funeral because he was on tour.

Now, I have my own apartment, I'm in University, I'm doing all well.

DING!

Oh, a text message.

From: MyBoy 🌀
To: BabyGirl 😏

Hiya, I'm coming over later

Oh and did I tell you ? I have a new boyfriend.

It started in school when I first moved here.

*FLASHBACK*

I walked into the new school in a black leather skater dress, my black tights, my combat boots and a deep purple cardigan.

Being the awkward person I am, I crashed into someone.

"Oh my gosh I am so sorry," I say, while trying to collect my books.

"It's fine says a deep voice," I look up to a boy. HOW CLICHÉ.

I try to awkwardly speed walk away until he speaks again.

"Erm...you forgot your notebook," he laughs.

I internally facepalm and collect it from him.

"Thanks," I say.

"It's fine...?" he asks.

"Lily."

"It's fine Lily," he smiles, "By the way, I'm Reece."

"Well see you around Reece," I say.

He leaves and I check my timetable.

Math - Mr Murphy - Room 10

I sigh and walk to my class.

As I walk in, everyone states at me making me feel like a deer in headlights.

"Ahhh, you must be Lily Hemmings," Mr Murphy says with a strong Irish accent.

I hear a few whispers from some girls who seem to like 5SOS.

"Yep, that's me," I say.

"Well if you could just take a seat next to...Reece Bibby over there, that'd be great!" he smiles, making other students looked shocked, he probably doesn't smile a lot.

When I turn around, I see the guy from this morning, Reece, smirking at me.

"Bibby?"

"Bibby."

"Maybe Bibby will be our always," I laugh.

He bursts out into laughter making me blush.

At lunch, I had no one to sit with so I decided to go to their Music room.

It was much bigger than the one at Norwest and had more instruments.

I went to the guitar and started playing the riff of 'Heartbreak Girl'

You call me up,
It's like a broken record,
Saying that your heart hurts,
That you'll never get over him getting over you,
And you end up crying,
And I end up lying,
Cause I'm just a sucker for anything that you do.

And when the phone call finally ends,
You say "thanks for being a friend,"
And we're going in circles again and again.

I get cut off by a girl who looked quite laid back.

"Hey, was that you singing?" She asked.

"Yeah lol," I laugh.

"You sang my favourite song really well," she smiles.

"Thanks, you are...?"

"I'm Emma O'Donald, what about you?"

"Lily Hemmings," I say.

"Like as in Luke Hemmings - Hemmings!?!" She screams.

"Yes," I giggle.

"OH MY GOSH!!" she says starting to scream incoherent words.

I smile and continue playing the guitar.

*FLASHBACK OVER*

That's how I met, now two of the closest people to me.
