20 | Fleeting Escape

Somin's POV

"So where exactly are you taking me exactly?", I said.
He just smiled and said, "First of all wrap your arm around mine cause I don't want you to get lost in the crowd."

I wrapped my arm around his and I said, "All done."

He laughed and said, "Second of all, I'm not telling you where we're going, but I promise, it'll be amazing."

"I trust you bud", I said as he patted his shoulder and he raised his brow and said, "Did you just friend zone me?"

I laughed and said, "Are we supposed to be more than friends? Aren't we colleagues in the first place?"

"Just because we're colleagues, doesn't mean we can't date", he suggested in a flirting manner.

I rolled my eyes and said, "Can you quit the chit chat, and take me where you're supposed to take me."

Jungkook's POV

I was roaming the streets of Seoul, hoping to find Somin. Pushing through crowds of people I paused when I saw her through the crowd, talking to a man.

I gasped. Yoongi hyung was right, this supposed girl who works for the police looks exactly like Somin. I have to follow her. I keep my distance as I followed them walking through the crowd.

I see them go in a department store and I followed, trying to look as discreet as possible.

Somin's POV

"Why are you taking me to a department store Sehun?", I asked and he just smiled and said, "You'll see."

As soon as we got in, he called one of the sales ladies and he told her, "Give me the best dress you got here, the best jewellery and the best shoes you have for her."

"It would be my pleasure sir", she said as she guided me away from Sehun and she said, "I'll call you when she's done sir."

I gulped nervous at what she was going to do.
She then told me to wait in the huge dressing room. It was huge, it has a chandelier and a fancy sofa for those who would wait but surprisingly the place was empty.

It didn't take long until the woman arrived and helped me with the dress and the jewellery as well as the shoes.
She then showed me to the mirror and she left me saying, "I'll go get sir to see how gorgeous you look."

I smiled and I looked at myself in the reflection.

I looked down to look at my shoes and I heard a voice say, "You look gorgeous."

I turned saying, "Thanks Sehu-."
But I halted my words as I saw that it was someone I didn't know. I was quick to pull him into a dressing room and I held him by the throat with a knife.

"Who the hell are you and what makes you think you can just sneak up on me like that", I said and he softly said, "Jeon Jungkook."

There was not an ounce of fear from him even when my knife was less than an inch away from slitting his throat.

"Why are you not scared?", I said in confusion as I put my knife down and he stroked the back of his hand on my cheeks and I felt myself melting with his touch. He took the knife from me and said, "You won't be needing that, I'm not here to hurt you."

He caressed my cheek and said, "You have no idea how much I'd be willing to die with the thought that you're alive Somin."

"But I'm not Somin, another guy said that too, I'm Kang Hana", I said and he shook his head and said, "We grew up together, you can't not be Somin."
