22 | Homecoming

No one's POV

Somin clutches her hands on the steering wheel with a firm grasp. She didn't address yet on how complicated the situation was.

The split second decisions she made when she killed both Irene and Jennie. She sighed and said to Rosé, "I know you must hate me right now Rosé but-."

Rosé cut her off saying, "Somin, you don't need to explain and I actually want to say sorry for agreeing to put that chip in your head."

Somin stayed silent as Rosé explained, "It was human extortion and she was using you as a pawn for her self-gain, I never had any power against her but I could've stood up against her."

"I'm sorry", she said and Somin was confused of what she was feeling. She had so much hate in her that she didn't think it was possible for her to feel a form of forgiveness.

"Your apology has been accepted", She calmly said and Jungkook was surprised.

He never thought Somin would do that especially under these circumstances.

Jungkook was about to question her when they finally arrived at the headquarters so he decided to shut up. The gates slowly opened as the guards saw Jungkook wave at them so that the car could go in.

Jungkook who still had his earpiece on said, "Namjoon hyung, you might want to gather the others at the parking lot."

Somin unknowingly stepped out of the car and waited for Rosé and Sehun to get out. Afterwards she turned to the building only to see the rest of the core members of VENOM just staring at her with awe.

She could tell they were hesitant to approach her thinking that she couldn't remember them. She then gave them a strained smile, this wasn't something she would typically do so she didn't feel as comfortable.

She smiled again but this time she relaxed into it and said, "Are you just gonna stare at me or are you finally going to greet your leader?"

All their eyes widened in shock and they looked like they were about to rush towards me but Jin told them to wait. He stepped forward first and approached her and took the signet ring off his finger and said, "I believe this belongs to you Viper."

She smiled warmly to the man making him a bit flustered but he kept his composure. Yet, it didn't keep him from hugging her which was at first shocking to Somin but she eventually melted into the hug and hugged him back.

He then whispered to her, "I missed cooking for you, it's been lonely eating curry at midnight without you by my side."

She chuckled and said, "That's enough hugging, you know me and my opinions on physical affection."

Jin broke into nervous laughter and let go of her. He could've almost sworn that he saw Somin break her tough act but he intends to bring that soft side of her out some time in the future.

The others just stand there as if they've seen a ghost. This was Hwang Somin, the girl that died and somehow was resurrected.

The awkward staring was cut by Lisa running up to Somin like she's seen her long lost sister and hugged her tightly. Somin did not spare herself from showing how new this was to her but she still hugged the girl back.

"Unnie, you have no idea how much me and Jungkook have been trying to find you", she said on the verge of tears. Somin was surprised by Lisa's statement as she looks at Jungkook who was trying his best to avoid her eyes.

Eventually their eyes finally locked and he gave her an earnest smile and mouthed, "It was nothing."

Lisa was suddenly snatched away from Somin by Jimin making Lisa say, "Hey!"
