It was half seven, I had already showered, dried and straightened my hair and I decided to put on some skinny jeans and a baggy Hollywood undead top. I wasn't trying to impress him, or his friends. I just wanted to feel comfortable.
I had half an hour left, I had already looked up how far of a walk his house was on google maps, only fifteen minutes. So I had now ten to spare.
"Marsha!" I heard my mom shout from downstairs, I thought about ignoring her and acting like I didn't hear but I didn't exactly want to be on her bad side.
"Coming!" I replied walking down the stairs to her. I walked into the kitchen to see her sitting on a stool pulled up at the counter.
"What time are you going out hunny?" She asked me as I walked over to her, and leaned on the counter across from her stood up.
"In about ten minutes," I answered. I was use to her questioning me.
"Okay, remember don't be back too late please?"
My mom was always overprotective, more than some moms. But I saw why, I was all she did had left. I was her only child, and I was her only priority. Sometimes I did wish she would move on from dad, I know he wouldn't be angry. Just so she had a life of her own, it upset me to see the only thing she had was me sometimes.
"I will, I promise."
"Where are you going?"
"My friend's house, he doesn't live far," I told her.
"He?" She asked me with a smile, wanting to know more. I nodded. "What's his name?"
"Mom, I haven't got time for this."
"I just wanna know," she innocently grinned putting her hands up in defence.
"Billie Joe."
"Armstrong?" She asked me quickly as her annoying smile dropped. I was confused but nodded slowly. "Tell him I said to say hi from me to Ollie."
I looked at her more confused. I couldn't tell if she was trying to wind me up or not. So I nodded and began to walk to Billies following the map on my phone.
I reached his, or what should be his house and walked up to the door before knocking three times, waiting for him to open the door.
The door opened as I found myself in front of Billie Joe, "Hey Marsha," he greeted excitedly as he saw me. I smiled back as he stepped back for me to come in.
"I know this is weird but my mom asked me where I was going," I told him, he nodded to show me he was listening as we both sat down on his couch. "And I said Billie joes, she then really quickly said 'Armstrong?', And I said yeah." Billie looked as confused as I did.
"How does she...?"
"I don't know." I shrugged. "But she said to tell someone called Ollie or something she said hi? I don't know who Ollie is but-" Billie was quick to cut me off.
"My mom?"
"Ollies your mom?"
He nodded slowly. "How does your mom know my mom?"
I was as confused as he was but tried to suggest some logical answers that would make my mom seem less of a weirdo. "Maybe they were old friends or something?"
There was another knock on the door. I looked at Billie as if to say 'aren't you gonna get it?' But he put one finger up to me as if to say wait. Shortly after two boys bursted through the door screaming.
"We're here!" One shouted with bright blue coloured hair, from where I was he looked like he had bright blue eyes, and his friend had browny blonde spiky hair and also blue eyes.
