"I hate this one," I sighed looking into the full-length body mirror installed on the wall of the dress store.

"What!? Look at you!" Casey smiled behind me. "This dress screams you,"

"Dresses don't talk,"

"Shut up," she breathed out walking away. I ignored her looking into the mirror.

This was the third dress we had tried on, and I still wasn't satisfied. It was a light pink knee-length frilly dress. And it did not scream me at all. If anything it screamed at me to leave it alone.

"Alright, what about this one?" Casey asked coming back into view of the mirror. I spun around and looked at the dress on the clothing hanger in her hand.

"Nope, too poofy,"

She sighed loudly and walked away. But this time I followed her as we looked around for more dresses. It was obvious Casey didn't know what sorts of dresses I liked, but that was okay because I couldn't blame her. I never really wore them.

"I like this one," I admitted pulling up another dress. This one wasn't like the other ones Casey had made me put on. It was a simple a-Line black strapless dress. It reached just above the knees and didn't really have much to it.

She looked at it for a moment. "Isn't that really simple?"

"Is a prom dress not suppose to be simple?"

"I guess if you really wanted, but that just seems like more of a formal going out dress," she suggested.

"I guess you're right, but I really like it," I repeated looking back down at the dress in my hands.

"Buy it for going out in, like on dates and diners- Ooh look at this dress!" She squealed pilling out another one.

But I liked this one. Instead of the light colours she had chosen before, it was a strong red tone. It was also an a-line dress like the black one I had in my hands, but it was a bit longer than the black one. It had some nice thrills on the skirt section if it, but it didn't look too poofy like the other one. It was off the shoulder and didn't seem to have much complexity to it.

"You hate it don't you," Casey cringed as I carried on looking at the dress.

"No- no I like it," I told her taking the dress from her hands. I looked at it closer, admiring it a little. "Hold my black dress while I go try it on,"

She room the black dress from me as I happily skipped into the changing rooms feeling better now that I had found a dress I actually liked.

I got in and changed into it while I heard Casey humming outside the room waiting for me to come out with the dress on.

I took in a deep breath before opening the door and walking out the changing room, I was sorta scared for Caseys opinion on this one. Because I liked this dress, so if she didn't. Then I was back at stage one.

She looked me up and down with a huge grin on her face before her eyes landed back on her face meeting mine.

"So?" I asked her nervously, playing with the skirt of the dress moving it around in my hands and swishing it side to side. "What do you think?"

"I love it!" She squealed again. "It looks amazing! It's perfect! You have to get this dress!"

"Really!?"

"Yes!"

I quickly walked over to the mirror again before setting my eyes on how I looked.

She's right... this was definitely the right dress for me.
