Margie
Margie sat in the limousine, watching the flashing of lights and the people gathered to see who was exiting the next car. She watched all the big-name celebrities that were making their appearance tonight at the charity event, waving and smiling at the screaming crowds. It seemed funny that at one point in her life all this chaos was commonplace; now it was more of a headache than anything else.
When it was her and Jones' turn, he got out first and then took her hand to help pull her from the spot she didn't quite want to vacate yet, but did nonetheless. Her soft mint-green dress billowed in the soft California breeze as she looked all around with cameras snapping in front of her eyes. He pulled her to his side, smiling at all the paparazzi as they walked towards the building while fans screamed his name. But as they strolled by waving at people, he never loosened his grip on her.
"I don't think I've told you enough just how damn gorgeous you are," his voice rumbled in her ear. "But I'm going to love to pull all those pins from your hair before I have my way with you tonight," he promised, and a shiver ran through her.
People were calling out to Jones, asking him to turn in their direction and he did, with her in his arms. Questions were being shouted about who was the woman with him, how long have they been together, etc.
But Jones laughed and then kissed her, and that made the camera flashes go crazy. When he was done he smiled at all the fans and the reporters, along with the paparazzi. "She's my fiancée," he told them all; then the questions came flying at them.
He just chuckled and left the commotion behind him as they made their way into the building. All the guys were standing together and talking when they walked into the outer lobby. Margie did notice that they were all dateless, which surprised her, considering what whores they all were.
"Ready?" he whispered in her ear.
"As ready as I'll ever be," she sighed.
"Good. Then let's go see the guys," he chuckled.
They walked over to where the group stood, and she could see the photographers waiting to take some snapshots of the band as Dax walked up to them. "Hey Marge, good to see you, sweetheart." Dax smiled, pulling her in for a hug.
"Ah, yeah. Nice to see you too, Dax..."
"Congratulations, by the way. Jones hasn't shut the hell up about your wedding since you've said yes to him." He grinned, stepping back.
"Thanks. Well, I'm glad to hear he's excited about it. Most guys couldn't care less about getting married."
"Yeah, well, Jones isn't your typical guy, I guess." Nickels chuckled, glancing at Jones. She didn't see what was so funny as she glanced back at Jones, who shrugged at her. With that she gave her head a shake, not caring to know what the guys construed as funny.
Howie just smiled at her, not really saying much, and there really wasn't much to say at that point. But that's when Jimmy came towards her, and she could see right away that Jones was right about him not doing so well.
"Hey, Margie." He tried to smile.
"Hi, Jimmy."
"You look good."
"Thanks, you look good too," she replied.
"Thanks, I guess. So, how've you been?"
"Good..."
"I heard you're going to marry Jones. Congratulations."
"Thanks."
His hand went to the back of his neck and his eyes darted to the ground before they lifted back up to meet hers. "So, how's ..."
