Soomi brought the spoon to her lips, allowing the sugary cereal to bless her tastebuds. Much to Seokjin's distress, Soomi had already made the bowl of cereal before he could make her a hearty, healthy breakfast."That cereal's full of sugar, you know that right?" Seokjin crossed his arms over his chest. He was leaning against the counter and watching her with a disapproving look, when she shovelled yet another spoonful into her mouth.
"I get that it's unhealthy, but it tastes really good." She replied even though her mouth was full, giving him a closed-mouth smile at the end whilst her cheeks were full of cereal.
Seokjin rolled his eyes and shook his head. "How will you concentrate at school if you're on a sugar rush?"
"Oh, leave her alone, hyung." Taehyung's voice sounded as he made his way over to the kitchen. "One bowl of cereal won't hurt anyone." He sauntered past Seokjin and over to where a slice of toast had just popped up from the toaster. With that, he grabbed it and took a bite.
"Yah! That was mine, you shit!" Seokjin bellowed, earning a mere giggle from Taehyung. Seokjin huffed out a sigh, shaking his head and muttering something about a 'lack of respect'.
Taehyung swallowed before responding, "I have to take Soomi to school, I don't have time to wait for another piece to pop up." He shrugged his shoulders with an irritating nonchalantness, enough to make Seokjin's face contort into a scowl.
"I'll take Soomi to school today, and when I come back, I expect more toast." He quipped, swiftly lifting his keys from the bench whilst narrowing his eyes at Taehyung.
Taehyung took another bite of the toast, before holding his hands up in surrender, "okay, okay."
Soomi stood up and brought her bowl to the dishwasher, brushing her hands over her skirt to straighten out the non-existent crinkles. "I'll go get my bag." She announced, earning a nod from Seokjin.
With that, she headed up the stairs and down the hall. Just as she was about the pass Jungkook's room, she stopped. She hadn't saw him yet this morning, even though he was usually awake way before anyone else, so she decided that the best thing to do was check up on him.
Her hand knocked lightly on the door, and after about thirty seconds of no response, she knocked louder.
This was extremely unlike Jungkook.
Soomi tapped her foot on the ground in an impatient manner, before opening the door.
She wasn't sure what she was expecting, but when she saw Jungkook still asleep and sprawled across his bed, her first reaction was relief that he was sleeping peacefully, then panic as she thought he could be dead, then relief again as she saw his chest rise and fall.
Talk about a rollercoaster.
She closed the door over and walked closer to his bed, the white cotton socks on her feet luckily masking the sounds of her footsteps. Gently, she pulled back the blanket to his waist and gritted her teeth when he stirred slightly.
Waiting until he settled, she pinched the hem of his t-shirt and slowly lifted it up, revealing the blood soaked dressing that lay beneath.
"Just as I thought." Soomi mumbled, wincing as her eyes scanned over it. She thought that she had done a good job patching him up yesterday, but clearly he was in need of something more than just a sanitary napkin and some medical tape.
"What are you doing!?" Jungkook's voice snapped her from her thoughts, causing her to jump. He stared at her with his deep eyes, a hand on his chest to calm his thumping heart. "Jesus, Soomi, you almost gave me a heart attack."
