The dinner table was silent.

The eight gang members sat around shovelling heaps of kimchi jjigae and rice into their mouths, as if they hadn't eaten in days. This was a regular occurrence each dinner time. Whilst Soomi never had such an appetite before, or a will to eat like the food was going to disappear, after being around her seven 'brothers' for so long, she watched herself become more and more like them.

"Soomi-ah, how was school?" Seokjin asked between bites, slowing down since he was almost finished.

"Same old," Soomi responded, as casual as ever. She sure as hell wasn't going to mention Ryōma. "What about you guys? Anything new on Monsta X?"

Hoseok shook his head. "They're being surprisingly quiet after the other night. It's weird," he scratched the nape of his neck, before picking his chopsticks up once again.

"I mean, if that had happened to us, hell would have broken loose within the next twelve hours," Taehyung added, leaning his cheek on a closed fist.

Yoongi was the next to chime in, "they're plotting something, definitely."

It wasn't like the notorious gang Monsta X at all to not give any form of payback, so now, it was a waiting game to see what they'd try and do next. No one would say it outright, but they had a feeling it was going to be something big.

"With such tough competition, maybe it would be a good idea to get some more allies on board," Soomi suggested out of the blue, her eyes focused down at the piece of pork she was pushing around her bowl. On the inside, she was cringing deeply at their silence.

Namjoon raised an eyebrow, sharing a glance with the members around the table. He was surprised, to say the least, at her input.

Soomi willed herself to shut up, but her mouth opened once again, "one of Monsta X' allies recently cut ties with them, actually."

Once again, silence.

She brought her chopsticks to her mouth and chewed the fatty pork, her eyes scanning over each of her male counterparts. She decided that being confident rather than hesitant would make her seem a little less suspicious, and more likely for them to listen to her.

Jungkook cleared his throat, and leaned forward as he was directly opposite Soomi at the table. "Who, exactly?" He queried, asking the question everyone else had. His brows were furrowed, and he rifled through his stew as if he wasn't bothered. In reality, he was very curious to know.

Soomi picked up her spoon, saturating some of her rice in the soup. "Got7," she answered with no delay. She promised to the boys of Got7 that she'd get them in cahoots with Bangtan, and if asking them straight up wouldn't work, then she'd have to reconsider her plan of attack.

"Got7, hm?" Yoongi's voice cut in, "how did you find this out?"

Soomi heaped the rice into her mouth, taking a moment to chew and swallow before she spoke again. "Park Jisung, I heard him talking about it today." She unconsciously wiped her sweaty palms on her sweatpants, not realising just how nervous she had been. It wasn't even like she was worried that they'd dismiss her idea or anything, but under each of the male's gazes, she couldn't help but get a little anxious when put on the spot.

Namjoon released a breathy laugh, and the others followed suit, causing Soomi to exhale a sigh of relief. Everyone's silence and piercing glares were beginning to make her feel as though she was the enemy, much like their first time meeting.

"You get flustered so easily with eye contact," Namjoon continued to chuckle, "I thought you were about to cry."

Soomi's face contorted into a playful scowl, and she placed her spoon down to fold her arms. "Hey, that's not cool. I thought I was about to get my ass chewed for making a suggestion."
