There I go again!
Savage woke them up at 5:30 in the morning. They ate a simple breakfast, and tried to shake the sleep out of their eyes. Afterwards they changed into their costumes. Ban's costume was his red leather jacket and red leather pants, Killua's costume was his second outfit and Gowther's was the same as what he wore in season 1 ep 14. (Their clothes were remade so that they can withstand tougher battles, courtesy of the support course). Saiki... didn't have a costume. He didn't need one. The only reason the others had a costume was because their clothes were weird to begin with.
Yui didn't mind that he didn't have a costume, she said his power limiters and glasses were enough of a defining thing. For now. Naturally, he wasn't planning on remaining a hero for very long.
They were about to leave for their first patrol, when Saiki got a text on his phone (How he got a phone is beyond me, let's just assume he got it w/ the LoV). It was from the group chat Ashido made.
"Checking your phone during your patrol? Give it here." Yui was already pissed, and it wasn't even 6am yet. Saiki powered his phone off and threw it to her. She caught it (of course) and gave him a weird look.
They went into the most crowded part of town, and saw a bunch of people setting up shops. The morning Market is a big thing in Wajima, so naturally, there are loads of thieves and petty criminals.
"We'll be patrolling on this street, and the ones around it, don't cause too much trouble." That was all Yui told them before she went off to do her own thing.
"Well, that was useless." Killua rolled his eyes. "Doesn't matter though, since none of us are gonna be heroes." Killua paused. "Oh yeah, Saiki, I think you mentioned something about checking the floors. What did you find?"
"Nothing. There are 30 basements, I'll handle the first 20, then one of you will do the last 10, and the next 10 floors, and so on."
"I wanna do the top ones!" Killua grinned.
"I wanna destroy that arrogant woman's office~" Ban rubbed his hands together and grinned maliciously. After some silence, Gowther spoke up.
"Why did you lie about what you found?"
"What? Saiki you lied?" Killua asked.
"What did ya find~?" Ban nagged.
"Nothing." Saiki insisted, before flying up.
"He definitely saw something." Killua pouted. "Gowther do you know?"
"Yes."
"Tch... I guess he's not telling us for a reason...." Killua sighed.
"Thief! Someone stop her!" An elderly man yelled.
"I guess that's our cue-" Ban was about to go after her, when the woman stopped in her tracks. She was lifted into the air. They all looked up, and saw Saiki, questioning the woman in the air. He returned the things she stole, and the thief apologized a bunch.
"Wow. That's one way to get the job done." Killua folded his arms. "I wanted to do it." He sighed.
The rest of the day went relatively peacefully. With the exception of a few criminals, they found patrolling to be pretty simple. All they really had to do was wander around, which gave them plenty of time to discuss plans. Overall, they knew that they would have to do something about the League before they finished the game, they also knew that the League would most likely be in Hosu city. When? They didn't know. What they did know, was that Iida was planning to confront the 'Hero Killer', and that Yui, really couldn't care less about them, so all they had to do was tell her that they were ready to patrol on their own. The League would definitely try to use this 'Hero Killer' thing to their advantage, and they had to be prepared for that.
