Chapter 12. Play Day

I wake up slowly and stretch out. I sit up and rub my eyes. Mmm something smells good in the kitchen. I put on clean pajamas and head out, following my nose. It smells wonderful. I stand in the kitchen door. Rosie is cooking something as Alpha Gray hovers around her trying to help. They are murmuring to each other.

She lightly swats his hand like a child. She giggles to him as he kisses her cheek. I rub my eyes a bit more as I walk in. Alpha waves to me as he surrenders to the other side of the island and sits in the chair watching Rosie do her thing. He pulls out a chair for me and I sit on it. He sits beside me.

"Good morning Luca how are you this morning?" He asks me cheerfully.

"Good morning Alpha. I am alright. I followed my nose to the nice smells coming from here." I say as my stomach growls.

"Yeah I get that. I followed my nose with this wonderful aroma myself. But she won't let me help." He confesses with a big smile on his face. I think he tried to pout but it didn't work to well.

"Oh, hush you. You know I promised a day of fun with Luca today. I want it to be started out with a big breakfast. So, let me do it myself today and then if you want to help after you can." Rosie says pointing a finger at him teasingly.

"Fine whatever you want Rosie." He says wrinkling his nose as he stuck his tongue out. I laugh watching them acting like this. Its very cute though. She goes back to cooking what's on the stove. She's making sure nothing is getting burnt and putting some things on plates. I can't wait to eat.

She grabs the batter and puts more into the pan making it sizzle. She pushes the plate to the side and plates other things as well. Oh, I can't wait for the food. Rosie places plates in front of Alpha Gray and myself, with a fork and knife as well. She left a plate off to the side for herself.

She puts the plate of pancakes in front of us, even though there's more cooking, eggs with stuff cooked with it, sausages and bacon. She runs her hands on her apron as she turns around with wide eyes getting something out of the oven. She puts it on a towel and lets it cool down a bit. She flips more pancakes and puts syrup and icing on the island in front of us. She puts the pancakes on another plate before putting more batter into the pan.

"Eat up you two. I know your both hungry with the amount of growling your stomachs are doing. Eat." Rosie says. I nod and get food on my plate. Alpha helps me get eggs onto my plate. I can get everything else and puts syrup on my pancakes. It smells amazing. I shovel the food in as fast as I can. Rosie just stares at me shaking her head slightly.

"What?" I ask with my mouth full of food.

"Your going to choke eating like that you know. I know your hungry but don't eat that fast." She scolds like my mother used to. I nod my head and swallow. I don't want to choke, it sounds painful. I slow down my eating as she finishes up the food and turns it off, bringing over more pancakes.

She smiles seeing that Alpha Gray waited to plate his food until she was done cooking. He piles his plate high with food as well. Rosie on the other hand doesn't get a ton of food but enough. We eat silently.

It doesn't take long before most of the food is eaten. Alpha ate a lot but I guess that happens with his size, power and energy he exerts. I wonder if I will be that big one day and powerful. I put my plate in the dishwasher when I'm done. I sit back down and wait for them to finish as well.

Before long they both are also done. Rosie wraps the leftovers up and puts it in the fridge before putting the stuff into the dishwasher and runs it. Then she stands in front of us on the other side of the island.
