Chapter 23. Light

"I didn't think we'd get anything out of them. I also thought someone would get hurt with that yesterday." I tell Rosie with a sigh of reluctance. I know we didn't learn much and I know things are going to get harder from here, but its at least something.

"I know. But its at least something. I know they are still out there tied to the tree even if they could have easily gotten out. Its crazy but I think for the moment we have a lull. A calm before the storm. I don't like it because it feels like there's electricity in the air and at any moment the sparks will fly and a fire will burn." She says a bit cynically.

"Even still we know what is going to happen. It will begin and soon enough they will be the ones on their toes." I tell her happy. Not just happy but giddy with knowing that we have a plan that might actually work out. She smiles feeling my energy and I poke her nose. She giggles and it causes my heart to swell.

She rolls her eyes at me.

"I know it will be good when this is done. Your so full of energy now and I am enjoying your high." She giggles again as she kisses my cheek.

"I love you and being near you like this. Makes everything else bearable my dear." I tell her pulling her closer to me.

"I love you to and I know. Your touch, your love and your mark are getting me through it too." She tells me kissing me deeply. I love when she does that. Even in her small stature she carries the Luna so well.

She's helped our pack well. Not many can defend their pack or be a leader. It takes a special person to be able to lead with a firm hand, yet know when to be laid back and easy going. I should have listened from the beginning about how she wanted to go about the negotiation. But in the end, it worked out and Im glad.

I kiss along her neck and shoulder, getting a soft purr from her lips. So beautiful. Love the sound of her and the smell of her pleasure. Not that it compares to her taste. I'm glad to be the one and only to pleasure her in any way she needs.

I caress her side and traces along her hip. She blushes deeply enjoying my touch. She bites her lip as she looks up into my eyes. I love her green and grey eyes. So, alluring and captivates my attention easily. I can feel her need for me. This always radiates off her even if at time sit isnt as intense as others. She hides it but its always there.

She lays on her back as I hold her hands above her head. She kisses the mark on my neck making me shiver with pleasure. I look at her and smirk. I kiss her mark making her shiver under me and nibble around it, teasing her. She whimpers as I bite her around the mark. Her scent is so intoxicating.

I can't believe how hard I am, it hurts. I rub my length against her, feeling how wet she is for me. She wraps her legs around my hips as I tease her more. I trace my hand along her chest and pull at her nipple making her sigh. I smirk as I insert myself into her. Her head rolls back as she sighs out.

Oh, I love that sounds. I rock on her making her moan more as we enjoy each others body. I pull on her nipples. She goes onto all fours and moans louder as I pound into her. I hold onto her hips making her scream every time I pull her into me. I can't help but moan back with how good she feels around me.

I slow down as she rides it out. As it subsides, I can feel my own coming and I go deep into her several times before unloading my load into her.

I sigh as I come into her. She purrs as I hold her close to me. As my own stops we lay back onto the bed catching our breath. If I could I'd do that as often as I could and I know she would as well. Laying here snuggling close to her is the next best thing.

"If only we could stay in here like this for the rest of the week." She breathily moans to me as she brushing her bum into me. I let out an involuntary sigh. I nibble her ear.

"I know love so do I. But we can stay here for a little while longer and enjoy this. Everything set up for our next meeting with the Alpha's?" I ask her, resting my hand on her hip.

"Yes baby, I made sure to set that up and have their word theyd be on sand by yesterday just in case as well. They will be here for the meeting trust me. With what's happening to us they've had similar things happening too. They want this stopped just as much as us." She informs me. The undertone of anger is there, which I get and it will be needed to take him down.

The fact that they still think that Rosie hasn't changed is good. It can give us a leg up and hopefully we come out on top.

"We got this I know we do dear. Once we have everything in place we can start." I say rolling onto my back. I take a deep breath and let it out slowly as I rub my index finger and thumb across my eyes to my nose.

"It will all work out ok. I will sit on top of you and relax you right now if you want. Or we could go find something to eat." She says tracing my stomach. Here I thought we already had our fun for the day. I was mistaken. I let out a chuckle as I kiss her forehead.

"Well I think we should find some food and can have more fun later ok." I tell her. She pouts to me. I raise my eyebrow and she knows she can't fight my answer. She sticks her tongue out and then gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"What do you want to eat then dear, maybe I can get it started?" She asks me sitting up slightly.

"Relax baby. I will get food started ok. I will surprise you and have it on the island. Take your time." I inform her as I kiss her forehead. I get up and put on a pair of shorts. I look at her as she stretches. If there wasn't a war, I'd just pin her down and eat her if I could right now. Until I can do that, we need to keep our energy up.

"Ok. I will freshen up and come out shortly ok." She says getting off the bed and giving me a hug.

"Sounds good." I say kissing the top of her head. She goes into the bathroom with a smile on her face. She can be a handful but she's a great leader by my side. I couldn't have found a better mate.

That day she came was a day that I won't forget. She was scared, with Luca on her shoulders. She stood tall against my brother, standing firm again his lies and putting him in his place. She did what no one else was going to do or able to do in one fell swoop. She didn't back down; she had a mission she was on and she got it done. She surpassed her hardships and hasn't been able to grieve properly for those she lost.

I promised to help in any way I can and in doing so we became what the other needs as well. We are mates, she helps me more then I expected. She stands tall, and everyone listens to her without fail. I am proud to call her my mate and my Luna.

When this is all over, I hope she can grieve properly for all that she's lost. Same with Luca he hasn't been able to grieve his pack at all either. When this is done everything will get better. Safe. We all will be safe.
