I followed Newt to the Med-Jacks room. He stopped at the door and said "Stay out here."

I stood at the door while i could hear murmurs of people talking. I wonder what he means by stung?

Curiousity got the best of me and i had to look through the crack of the door. I saw who i think i heard was Ben on a bed. He had purple and blue vains popping out of his arms and legs and neck. His eyes were bloodshot red. It was like he wasnt even human. He looked like a scary monster. I took a step forward opening the door a bit. The door made a loud creaking noise.

Alby, Thomas,Newt, and Minho all turned around. "Greenie what are you doing here? Your not suppose to be in here!" My eyes widened from the fact that id just been caught and Alby wasnt looking so happy. He scares me. Newt grabbed me by the arm and took me downstairs.

"I told you to bloody stay outside!" I sighed "I know im sorry." He saw that i was scrared of Alby. His face softened "Look, just try to listen next time. Alby's been through alot. Why dont you go find Chuck, he'll keep you company." I gave a quiet okay and then left to find Chuck.

It wasnt hard to find Chuck, knowing he was the only kid in the Glade.

He was sittiing in his hammock watching the other gladers work.

"Hey Chuck!".

"Hey Greenie,what'ya doing?"

I shrugged "Nothing, Newt told me to come find you so i have someone to hang with. Apparently i need to "listen more"."

Chuck gave me a confusing look "What do you mean?".

I sighed "I saw Ben when he was stung when i was suppose to be outside. Alby got mad and Newt had to take me downstairs. He also got mad and told me to just try to listen more, whatever that meant..."

Chuck put a hand on my shoulder

"I know how you feel. Being the youngest here, plus also being a greenie once was tough for me. At least you didnt klunk your pants twice when you came from the box."

I said "Klunk? Seriously what does all this vocabulary of you guys mean?"

He laughed "Youll get use to it."

After it was quiet for a while between me and Chuck. We just stared at the other gladers.

"So you and Newt huh?"

I turned to Chuck "What!?"

He laughed "Its obvious that there is something between you two.

Do you like him?"

I scoffed "Dont be rediculous Chuck Ive only been here for two days . And Of course i do i mean everyone likes Newt. Hes nice to everyone!"

Chuck shook his head "Your bluffing."

Thats when i knew i was blushing.

Chuck jumped from excitement "I knew it! You do like him!"

I shushed him "Okay okay, yes i do but its not like he likes me anyway."

Chuck gave me an are you serious look. "He does like you. Dont you see how he looks at you."

I said "Then why did he get mad at me back there..."

Chuck smiled "Because he is just trying to protect you and prevent you from getting in trouble with Alby."

I shook my head "No way. Im gonna go , i think Frypan made lunch already."

As i was walking to get luch from Frypans kitchen i heard Chuck shout "DONT DENY IT!"

I smirked and said "ALREADY AM!"

I got in line to get lunch. Today we were having grilled cheese. I sat in front of Minho and Thomas. "Hey Greenie!" I said "Can you guys stop calling me greenie. I have a name you know." Minho chuckled "what is your name anyway, no ones even told us?"

I said " Names Harmony." Thomas hmm'd and said "It suits you."

I started eating my grilled cheese when Minho said "You almost got yourself in some deep klunk back there with Alby." I rolled my eyes "Can we please forget about that. Im not having such a grand afternoon. First the inccident with Ben and then Chuck tells me that Newt supposively likes me which i highly doubt...." Thomas interrupted me "wait wha'd you say?" "I said that Chuck was telling me that Newt supposively like likes me but i dont believe him." Both Thomas and Minho started laughing. I looked at them confused "What?" Minho said " Chucks not lying."

"Chucks not lying about what?"

My eyes widened a bit at the voice. I smiled and turned around to see Newt. "Oh, heyy Newt."

Newt sat next to me "What is Chuck not lying about?" I was lost for words, "Umm...". I kicked Thomas and Minoh under the table and gave them a help-me look. Minho said "Oh um that... Thomas was the first ever to make it out of the maze overnight and kill one." Newt nodded "Its true, this shuckface ran in the last second the maze doors were closing." I laughed and mouthed Minho a thank you.

While finishing my grilled cheese Newt turned to me.He scratched the back of his neck nervously, "Umm can i talk to you outside?"

"U-um, sure." We both got up. I looked at Thomas and Minho. Thomas was maing kissy faces and Minho had his back to me with his arms around himself to makenit look like he was making out with someone. I shook my head and gave them the finger.

I followed Newt outside in front of the Deadheads. We sat at the base of a tree. "So what did you want to talk about." He said "Im sorry how i harsh i acted back in the Medjacks room." I shook my head "No im sor..." but he cut me off. "No its not your fault. I was just acting so rude because Albys been through tough times and i dont want you to get in trouble by him. You know someone had have to been the first one in the Glade alone for a month, well that was Alby."

I thought for a moment...

"Wow, i-i never thought about it that way."

"I promise ill try to listen more often."

He gave me a sly smile. "Good that. Its getting dark i think we should go to bed now you have work to do tomorow."

We both got up and went to the room. Before Newt could protest i slipped into a sleeping bag on the floor with a pillow and a blanket and fell asleep.
