(A/N-Trigger warning, abusive Patton and actual harm. Should be the last one for awhile so hang in there.)

Logan's (pov)

I stared up at the bright blue ceiling. Sleep never truly overcoming me. It seems he's here every time I close my eyes. Always there. Always judging. Always 'admiring'. Always-"Logan, baby? What are you still doing up?"

My breathe caught in my throat as I turned to the side. Patton there blearily looking to me. He lifted himself up on his elbow so he was once again above me. How such a small man can hold such power I'll never know. "I-I uh couldn't sleep." I spoke softly cursing myself for my stutter. Patton's expression however, softened into a small smile. "Aw, well why didn't you just say so? C'mere baby." He opened his arms smiling softly. I took a deep breathe shuffling closer to him, gasping as he wrapped his arms around me. My breathing immediately became shallow as I squeezed my eyes shut. Trying to imagine something else. Someone else.

When Remus came to my mind. Watching Hercules snuggled under a single blanket or the first time I helped Deceit, him snuggling his fluffy blonde hair into my neck. The soft kisses down mine during charades. The flower crowns I made them. I smiled snuggling closer into the two of them. "I love you." I spoke yawing softly afterwards. I heard Deceit's deep chuckle as he kissed my hair.

"I love you too."

The next morning was a lot less awkward then I expected. Roman was happily going off about Veronica, the dragon witch, complaining about how she always used magic to get her way. I held a small smirk on my face from where we were sat opposite each other on the kitchen counter. Patton cooking in the background. "You know no matter what I do she calls up some silly spell and poof! They don't even sound like spells! I mean what the hell is wrong 'Hocus Pocus'? Nothing that's what! So I don't see why she has to use 'Hocus Homo Panus Bottom!" I chuckled at the very obvious references in the apparent spell he spoke. "And the worse thing is, it made attracted to girls for a whole day!" I burst out laughing trying my hardest to contain myself. The images of Roman trying to dress like a skater boy and pick up girls becoming to much for me. Placing my hand over my mouth I continued to snicker, though Roman seemed to catch on suddenly realising himself, joining me in the laughter.

A tap on my shoulder bringing me out of it. I jumped at the slight contact turning to see Patton. Smiling. The wrong kind of smile. "Logie can I talk to you for a moment?" Help.

I shivered from my spot on the floor. Now I finally understood how Virgil felt, my breathing heavy and head swirling with so many different thoughts. The pain worse than last time presumably because I wasn't half knocked out. "Logan, Logan, Logan. You know I love your laugh, heck I know you secretly like my puns but." Patton told as he slowly made his way over to me, smushing blood into my carpet as he crouched infront of my face. "Did you really think I'd allow you to laugh at another persons joke?" "I-it wasn't a-a jok~" Slap. "That wasn't the question. So I'll ask again. Did you really think I'd allow you to laugh at another persons joke?"   I shook my head rapidly looking down "No Patt-

"Logan! Can you unlock the door? I need to return your book."
