Emilia Ellis
The place was very bright and beautiful. Soft music was playing around the restaurant. There was a bar right as you walk in with seatings and then tables and chairs. The white ceiling was covered with fairy lights and give a very calming feeling to me. I see a guy, sitting at the bar with food and drinks near him. His back was faced towards me.There were some people around the restaurant, mostly couples, so shouldn't be bad.
"Welcome to Little Italy." A blond guy with black outfit with waist apron approached me. "Where all our pastas and sauces are home-made and delicious."He give me a charming smile, he is actually very handsome. His green eyes was very mischievous and lively, his hair was styled up and he got a good jawline.
"Table for one, please." I said with a smile.I am very used to server or customers blatant look when I say I'm alone or sitting alone and eating. I used to feel very self conscious about eating alone, outside. Now, that I'm an adult. Things changed and so did my point of view of eating alone. I can at least order what I want and leave when I want to, but the cons are I usually order something that I'm able to finish without wasting it and I can't order another dish because I know I won't be able to finish it.My mom has brought us up in a strict household where we can't throw foods. She gets really mad about it and I get why, a lot of people don't get to eat foods daily.
I noticed the guy in the bar, shift from his chair to look at me and my eyes widened to see the guy from yesterday. Such a small world? He was wearing a T-shirt with jeans, his light brunette hair was in a messy look. He looked so handsome, I was snapped back to reality by..
The blond guy, who introduced himself as Cody took me to the end corner of the restaurant with two seatings. I sat down and looked at the bar again, the handsome guy has his back facing me now and I couldn't help but sigh in relief.
I looked through the menu while Cody poured me a glass of lemon ice water.
"I'll just with a chicken Alfredo pasta, please."
"Would you like to try our house's special appetizer? It's a mini pizza bites."
"Sure." I said hoping the portion is small.
"Any drinks?" He asked.
"No, thank you." I said and when he left. I took out my phone to check my emails. It's a habit, whenever I'm free or out of workplace. I tend to check my mails because honestly, I have no friends who will call me or texts me. The only people who calls and texts me is only my parents and brothers. It's sad at times, but I don't really like dramas and so far I have avoided teen dramas and things like that and I couldn't be much happier.
I frowned at an email from one of cousin, who is changing plans in the wedding and sent us the new plan. Weddings is exciting but very tiring especially when it comes to our family. Too many cousins and too many ideas all thrown at once and then what do we have? Chaos.
Someone will definitely be mad at the change of plans in the wedding decorations, that's for sure.
Cody comes back with a glass of what seems like a wine on his hand and put it down on my table.
"Sorry, I didn't order this."
He smiled, "someone else did, actually." and pointed to the bar at the handsome man, who turned to lift his glass up with a smile.
"I don't drink." I said to the guy, politely. I don't accept drinks from strangers and especially when they buy me one and it's one of the rules I had to follow while I was growing up with two over- protective brothers and it's the safest thing to do.
Cody grinned at me. "Should I take it back then."
"Yes, please." I said.
The guy's cocky smile turned into a frown when he see Cody bringing back my drink and patted the guy's back while laughing at him. They must be close or friends. I don't know. My food arrived soon and it smelled delicious. The guy, from the bar now moved and sat down right across from me with curiosity in his eyes.
"May I help you?" I asked him with one raised eyebrow.
"You don't drink?" He asked and I was surprised by his accent. He's British.
"Yes." I said looking at him in his eyes and I took a deep breath. He's so beautiful, especially his eyes. I quickly looked away.
"No one ever said No, before." He said in awe.
I give him a glance, is he being serious right now?
"There's always a first." I said. "Why are you here?"
"I'm just fascinated." He said in awe.
Cody came to my rescue and pulled him up and apologized, "Sorry for my friend's blatant behaviour. He won't bother you anymore." And before the guy could say anything else, Cody pulled him towards the bar.
They both mumbled something to each other and I ignored the guy for the rest of my time, there.Cody came to check on me and asked me for feedbacks and honestly I'm blown away by how delicious the food was.
"Someone already paid your bill."Cody said when I asked for my bill and I looked at the guy, in the bar who was smirking at me.
I scowled at him and he give me an amused look. "Then I would like to pay for his drinks." I said.
Cody was surprised but smiled, "sure." He said and came back with a bill. The brunette guy give us a confused look and before I left, I smirked back at the guy, who shake his head with a small smile. He does have a very beautiful smile. I must be crazy for having these thoughts in my mind.
