Emilia Ellis
Daniel called me when I stepped out of the restaurant.
"Emilia Violet Ellis." He said. Oh boy, I know that tone. It's when I'm in trouble.
"Yes?" I asked feigning innocence.
"Why is Jace over here and not with you?"
"About that." I started thinking of an excuse.
"Yes, about that." He questioned.
Someone tapped me on my shoulder and I turned to look at the brunette guy in front of me, but he was all covered up this time. He have a baseball cap and sunglasses.
"Hello." He said.
"Who's that?" Daniel questioned. "Emilia Ellis, who are you with?"
"I'll call you later." I said and hanged up. "What do you want?" I asked.
"I see that you paid for my drinks." He said pursing his lip, together.
"And I see that you paid for my foods." I pointed out and he give me a dazzling smile and I blinked a couple of times and covered it with my infamous blank look.
"Would you like to go for a walk with me?" He asked.
"No." I said with a straight face. "What's your problem?" I asked.
"I find it hilarious and fascinating how we are bumping into each other quite often." He said.
"We only bumped twice." I pointed out.
"Four times, actually." He said.
"I bumped into you yesterday and today." I said confused.
"We met day after as well." He pointed out.
"When?" And realization hit me, the guy who was covered up in the crowd and in the diner.
"That's right." He said. "I'm offended you just realized that, now."
I couldn't help but smile and he give me a small smile.
"See, I'm not that bad." He boast.
"I still don't know your intention." I shrugged. "So I can't say anything about that."
"Let me introduce myself, I'm Chase. And you're?"
"Stranger. Nice to meet you." I said politely.
He laughed, he have a very contagious laugh and I stifled a smile, when he said:
"Stranger? That's a beautiful name."
"Why are you covered up?" I asked.
"About that..." he paused.
"Not that it's any of my business, but your this style makes me feel suspicious."I said.
"Oh." He said very amused. "I promise, I'm not a creep."
"That's what they usually say." I said.
"You have a pretty smart mouth."
"Thanks, it's very much needed to put people back to their places."
"I think you and I will get along, well."
"Firstly, there is no You and I and secondly, I doubt we will hang out, again."
"Are you sure about that?"He asked amused. "We bumped into each other like four times, already."
I shrugged, nonchalantly.
"How about this?" His eyes lit up and I have a funny feeling about it. "If we bump into each other again, you and I will go on a date."
I give him a deadpan look.
"You are sure we will not be hanging out again, so what's stopping you?" He smirked. "Unless..."
"Fine." I said striking a deal in the middle of the road. David and Daniel will be so mad, I am a very cautious person and I never make any hasty decisions, but this guy- he knows how to rile people up.
He took out his hand. "It's a deal, then."
"Deal." I said shaking his hand and he give me a charming smile before turning around, not before giving me a goodbye wave.
"I'll see you around, stranger."
I was left on the road, dumbfounded by my deal with a total stranger.
I hope we don't bump into each other again. I sighed as I waved for a cab.
"Emilia Ellis." Daniel stood up from the couch as soon as I stepped inside the house. Zara came to take my bag from me which I handed her with an appreciative look.
"I'm going to take a shower." I said to Daniel. I know he will lecture me.
"Wait." He called out. "Were you with a date, today?" He followed me.
"Yes." I said, just to annoy him.
He stopped following me and I opened my room's door and took my stuffs to the washroom.
Daniel was sitting on my corner chair when I walked out of the washroom.
"Who is it? Where did you guys meet? What's his name?"
I walked to the vanity table and plopped down on the chair and turned on the hair dryer.
I was hoping he would leave me alone, at least for now he is not nagging me about my securities.
He waited patiently as I dried my hair. When I was done and unplugged the dryer and turned to look at him.
"I was in a restaurant." I said. "I was hungry."
"Who was that guy?" He asked.
"A server." I said and he give me a quizzical look and sighed.
"You know I'm worried about your security and so is David?"
"I think you guys need it more than me." I pointed out. "You guys are the famous one."
"You're our precious baby sister."He give me a wary look and I was about to argue with him, but I decided not to. Just like how I want them to be safe, they feel the same way and I shouldn't be too harsh on him.
"I'm fine." I sighed. "Not many people know me or my backgrounds."
"There are always people fishing for information, Em." He said.
"I can't always be in your shelter. What if I really do have a boyfriend or get married?"
"You will still be our baby sister." He grinned.
I rolled my eyes at him, playfully. "I feel bad for your future girlfriend, already."
"Oh." He said brushing me off. "Anyway, I have a conference call in about half an hour. I will see you at dinner."
"Okay." I said and he left the room. I stretched a little and checked my phone. I don't have to do anything this evening. I walked down stairs to the living room where my proud grand piano was.
I sat down and press a key to check the piano and then just like that my fingers moved freely.I played, "River Flows in You" by Yiruma. I think it's the most wonderful musical piece, ever. It's been a while since I played the piano. I haven't have time to actually sit and play anymore. When I ended the piece, I heard claps and noticed some of the staffs actually came to watch me play and I was a little embarrassed by the audience.
