Auschwitz bought a trail of tears,
Berlin! O yes kind old Berlin! Hailed many sneers.
Churchill moaned and groaned for broken homes,
D-day trailed blood all the way to new Rome.
Europe laid a broken base of torn families,
Forget not the unknown soldiers who were of great fatalities.
Germany hoisted its colours near and far,
Hitler had a head full of the most bizarre.
Italy swayed under Mussolini's rule,
Japan is not to be taken for a fool.
Kamikaze pilots dive beneath the waves,
Lieutenants command boys of eighteen towards their graves.
Mass murders of Jews terrorize the world,
Nagasaki brought Japan to the underworld.
O! London is in ruins,
Presidents and prime ministers are left a stewing,
Quarrelsome America is left pursuing.
Roosevelt has left the world wordlessly,
Stalingrad slaughters the mercenaries of Germany.
Truman pushes the Manhattan project,
Unjustices though have been neglected.
Vehement is left forgotten at dawn,
White flags are raised as the people cry, "Hitler's gone!"
Xenophobia plagues the mind
Yet no one has gone blind
Zapped! Tears flood through mankind.
