Silence isn't always so silent
Sometimes it's deafeningly violent
So loud that your ears start to ring
Yet so quiet that you don't hear a thing
It's those times when your mind is too loud
When you feel that you are getting drowned in a crowd
That you feel like you want to bang your head
Until it bleeds bright red
Your throat is raw from screaming
But everyone only says that you're dreaming
And you cry and cry
Yet no one says good-bye
Your eyes are red
Your brain feels dead
And the silence is finally silent
Because you finally went silent.
