Title: Planning

{PART TWO}

~~

After finishing breakfast, Paul and George (who had also eaten because he hadn't finished his cereal) cleaned up a bit. Or at least tried to, they spent most of the time singing along to the Buddy Holly track that they put on, dancing terribly along to the beat. However, their joy was short-lived, when the familiar knock of John rang out through the room. The lingering feeling of fear replaced itself in their guts as they were reminded of the situation they were in. Paul glanced solemnly at George before opening the door to reveal their best friends. John was standing in a forced casual manner, obviously refraining from jumping at the sight of his music partner. Ringo was slightly behind John, peering over his shoulder. When Paul appeared in the door frame, his vibrant, blue eyes sparkled.

"Paul!" he greeted cheerily. Pushing past John to pat the lad on the shoulder, "Good to see you lad."

Paul smiled, "Hullo Richie, come right on in." he stood to the side to allow his friends in. John gave him a cheeky grin as he walked past, before ruffling Paul's hair and running inside.

"John Lennon, get back here!" Paul yelled, chasing him down the hallways. He could hear John's cackling and it was a welcomed sound to his ears. After a few minutes, Paul tackled John in the entrance of the lounge and they rolled around the floor for a while, tickling each other and laughing like maniacs, until George lobed a pillow at the two of them.

"Stop acting like toddlers!"

Paul, who was currently sitting on John, digging his finger into his ribs, peered up and grinned sheepishly at his boyfriend, "Sorry, Geo-"

He squealed as John took advantage of his distraction and flipped them over, holding his arms in place, "Honestly, Macca. What are you doing being so childish?" he tutted, failing to suppress a grin.

"Alright, alright," Paul giggled, "I surrender."

John nodded his head dramatically and began to climb off the younger man. However, Paul cackled evilly and flipped them over once again, pinning his friend to the ground.

"I win!" he cheered in delight, laughing. John found that he couldn't bring himself to keep on fighting and chuckled.

"Alright, I yield."

Paul searched his face for any signs of trickery, but at seeing nothing but amusement, he clambered off John and flopped down next to George, who had seated himself on the sofa.

"So, to the actual purpose of our little get together," Ringo spoke, laughter coating his voice.

John sat up, "Yes, you need our help."

George side, placing his arm around Paul's shoulders, "Well I'm sure you've seen the newspaper." he began gloomily. When his two friends nodded, he continued, "We're going to try and make an excuse or something to tell the press at our conference on Wednesday."

Paul nodded, "We were hoping you could give us ideas and stuff."

Ringo hummed, "We could do that, we've not got much to do for the next couple of days so we should be good."

Paul smiled gratefully, "Shall we start then?"

The lads nodded, "I'll go grab some paper then," Ringo told them as he stood up and headed towards the bedroom where there would inevitably be paper (Paul is constantly writing down his ideas.)

Once Ringo had left the room, John looked up at the couple sitting in front of him. Paul had slid down so his head was in Georges lap and his body was curled onto the side. George was absentmindedly playing with his hair. Without realising it, the rhythm guitarists face had lifted into a sweet smile. Paul, being Paul, noticed this immediately.
