"...and then she asked me if I wanted to go upstairs with her but I refused because I didn't like her intentions. I didn't want her to take advantage of me" alex says from where he's sitting in front of me, a frown appearing on his face. We were sitting in the school cafeteria.
Alex Smith.
"I'm sick of following my dreams man. I'll just ask them where they're going and hook up with 'em later."
Students everywhere chatting and laughing. Some students were sitting inside the cafeteria, including me and my friends, while some were sitting outside the cafeteria, in the garden of our school.
"Huh...I thought she was a lesbian? Wasn't she caught locking lips with the nerd Ashley in the abandoned bathroom?" Nate, who is sitting on my right, speaks while chewing harder on his pizza because of the sudden confusion.
Nate Wilson.
"I had to put my grades up for adoption because I couldn't raise them."
"Well that's what the rumours say. You're stupid if you actually believe them." lily, nate's twin and the one sitting on my left speaks from beside me as she eats her fries.
Lily Wilson.
"Fries before guys."
"You're stupid, I mean who even reads Nancy drew mystery stories? Stupid lily does." Nate says and then sticks out his tongue...wow real mature.
"So what exactly did she wanted to do to you?" Leah asks alex, causing Nate and Lily's bickering to end before it even began.
Leah Carter.
"When I die I want my ashes to be pressed into a smokey eye shadow pallet.Thanks."
'Thank you' I mouth to her. I feel like the tired mom who does a nine to five job and a night shift to support her family when I'm around my best friends. Respect to all the moms out there.
"Do you guys know we'll be having three transfer students soon?" Sarah asks but gets ignored.
Sarah Green.
"It's not enough that I should succeed...others should fail."
"Well erm...she wanted me to carry her bags filled with heavy books and they were pretttty heavy so I refused." alex says as he fiddles with his fingers.
"Dude how dare she commit such a crime! Does she not know that princess alex is fragile and weak and would die if she does a chore! Tsk tsk I say you report her." I munch on lily's french fries while smirking at alex.
Me, Emma Reed.
"I hope natural selection takes care of people who block hallways."
"Haha very funny I am dying of laughter here please stop before the angle of death comes for me." alex says with a straight face. Before I can reply to him with an equally sarcastic remark my phone buzzes in my pocket. I look at the caller ID, 'sweet jj' it displays. He couldn't come to school because he caught a cold and didn't wanted to spread it so he decided to stay at home.
Jamie King.
"It's hard being a single mother especially when you have no kids and are a teenage male."
"Who is it?" Sarah asks.
"It's Jamie." I answer the call.
"Hey, how are you? How are you feeling now?" I ask him.
"I'm so not doing good and fyi I'm not talking about the cold I'm talking about how bored I am. I'm so bored that even watching a bug fly sounds interesting to me now. Please skip school with alex and come here." he sounds like a child whining to his mom to get him a candy.
