Unexpected Love AU 5

"Toph? What are you still doing here?" Yin asked as she see Toph and Iroh making their way back.

"I decided to stay here. There would of been... rocky situations if I went." Toph shrugged.

"I see. Does that mean you'll be able to train us?" Yin said, getting a little excited.

"Sure why not. It'll be something to keep me from being bored."

"And I'll be here to serve you all some tea." Iroh exclaimed, grinning proudly.

"Wonderful! Your tea is by far the greatest I have ever had."

"I'm flattered." Iroh replied.

"Well I'll gather everyone in the village so you can tell them yourself." Yin said.

"Cool." Toph replied. Yin smiled and ran off.

"So things go well with you and your lady friend?" Iroh asked.

"Katara? Things were alright." Toph said, turning away as a blush began to show.

Iroh chuckled at her. "From the look on your face, things were more than alright."

"B-Be quiet!" Toph grumbled.

Everyone in the village gathered around Toph in the center oft he village.

"Alright, listen up. Starting tomorrow, I expect those who are willing to train under me to be by the barn at 6 am sharp. I'm going to train you guys into fine benders." Toph announced to the crowd.

There were several gasps and whispers before they all cheered. Toph grinned and threw her fist in the air. "I love your enthusiasm! I can't wait to see what all of you are capable of ."

The Earthbender felt everyone run off to their homes, to prepare for tomorrow. Only person that stayed behind was Yin, who walked up to the younger girl.

"I'm sure that small speech motivated them." Yin said. She walked beside Toph as they headed for the tea. "I'm excited to train under you, Sifu Toph."

"I'm glad you are. Just know, I'm not going to be easy on you guys. I was only soft on Twinkletoes because he is an Airbender. The complete opposite of an Earthbender." Toph explained.

They walked into the tea shop and was seated by a young man.

"2 Jasmine tea please." Yin ordered. The man nodded and went to get their order.

"I just want to get to know you a little bit." Yin said, placing her hands under her chin as she looks at the blind girl. "How old are you?"

"12."

Yin raised her eyebrows in surprise. "Wow. I guessed you were like 14 or something. I'm 14 years old."

As Yin spoke, Toph started to zone out as she thought of her friends.

I hope Katara and Sokka are doing okay. And Aang as well... You better wake up soon Twinkletoes.

She may be really mad at Aang but he was still her friend.

It was early March. The invasion plan is 4 months from now. Plenty of time to train and think on what to do with Aang.

She could beat him up... But Katara wouldn't like that. Maybe she can launch him far away to where he had to make his way back... But again, Katara wouldn't like that.

Katara...Katara...Katara...

Since when did all her choices have to be okay with Katara? Why should she care? And why did she kiss Katara on her forehead???
