Chapter 6

Senator Amidala was taking care of the last thing with Jar-Jar. I enjoyed the view and Anakin came to me. 'Are you ready?' I nodded. I was thinking about what Chancellor Palpatine said to me. It floated in my head. It hadn't a destination. I couldn't place it. 'You seem a little bit off, are you nervous?' I snapped back to reality.

'No, not nervous it's just- This is not an easy mission. I am surprised that put me in escorting a senator to a different system.' He smiled at me. 'I think they see potential that we will escort Senator Amidala safely to Naboo. We make a great team!'

'Everything goes according to plan with you as a guide.' I winked at him. And walked away. Little did I know, he blushed.

'I do not like this idea if hiding.' she said to Anakin. He tried to comfort her. 'Don't worry. Now that the council has ordered an investigation, it won't take Master Kenobi long to find this bounty hunter.'

Padmé rushed with packing 'I haven't worked for a year to defeat the Military Creation Act to not be here when its fate is decided.'

'Sometimes we must let go of our pride and do what is requested of us.' That he said that! Even Padmé noticed. 'Anakin, you've grown up.'

'Master Kenobi manages not to see it.' He sighed. 'Don't get me wrong, Ani. Obi-Wan is a great mentor.

'As wise as Master Yoda and as powerful as Master Windu. I am truly thankful to be his apprentice. I am ready for the trials, but he feels that I'm too unpredictable.' Padmé tried to comfort him 'That must be frustrating.'

'He doesn't understand me! It's not fair!'

Then the wise words came. 'All mentors have a way of seeing more of our faults than we would like. It's the only way we grow.'

Anakin sat on a chair and sighed 'I know.'

'Anakin, don't try to grow up too fast.' He stood up and faced her 'But I am grown up. You said it yourself.' He gave her this look. 'Please don't look at me like that.'

'Why not?'

'It makes me feel uncomfortable.' The sass came out. 'Sorry, My Lady.'

We arrived at our departing station. 'I'm worried about you, what if they will notice that you left the capital, My Lady?' Padmé said proudly 'Well, then my Jedi protectors will have to prove how good they are.'

Obi-Wan said the last thing to us '(Y/N), Anakin. Don't do anything without first consulting either myself, Master Windu or the council.'

'Yes, Master.' And we went off the transporter. '(Y/N), Anakin, may the Force be with you, Master Windu says the same.'

'May the Force be with you, Master.' We took the luggage. 'Suddenly I'm afraid.' said Padmé. 'This is our first assignment on our own. I am too, I don't about Anakin.' He looked at us. 'Me too but no worries we have R2 with us.' We all laughed while R2 was beeping.'

And our ship took off.

We were having a little lunch at the ship. Talking about being a Jedi. 'Must be difficult, having sworn your life to the Jedi, not being able to visit the places you like or do the things you like.'

'Or be with the people that I love.' They looked at me when I said that. 'Are you allowed to love? I thought that was forbidden for a Jedi.' Padmé was curious about the way we lived. Anakin filled in 'Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is central to a Jedi's life. So you might say that we are encouraged to love.' He gave me a side look. But it was sneaky, Padmé didn't notice, but I sensed it.

We had a meeting with the queen of Naboo.

'Do you see any way through negotiations to bring the separatists back into the Republic?'

'Not if they feel threatened.' Padmé answered.

Me and Anakin just stood next to her watching how they come to a solution. My thoughts weren't fully there. I was nervous about this mission. What if I ruin it? They can never forgive me. I would disappoint Master Windu and that is the last thing I want. He is like a father to me, he watched me growing up, trained me. I couldn't dare to ruin my first mission without a master. He always says that I have this power in me that I have to use it at the right moment.

When I go back to Coruscant and I see Master Windu again, I want to show him that I accomplished something. That hard work pays off.

This is the perfect opportunity for me and Anakin to show our talents. And I know he is thinking the same.

The meeting ended. 'In the meantime, we must consider your own safety.' Which came with a other question 'What is your suggestion, Master Jedi?'

'Oh (Y/N) and Anakin are not a Jedi yet.' Yes, thank you Padmé for letting us know. 'Anakin is Obi-Wan Kenobi's Padawan and (Y/N) is Mace Windu's Padawan.'

'Hold on, wait a minute.' I knew Anakin couldn't take it. 'I was thinking I would stay in the lake country. There are some places up there that are very isolated.' Then I stopped her 'Excuse me. We are in charge of security here, My Lady.' He agreed with me. 'And this is my home. I know it very well. That's why we're here.' She has a point. 'Sorry, My Lady, you are right.' I didn't wanted make a sense. But Anakin was not happy with her answer. I looked at him hoping that he would be decent.

Queen Jamillia tried to end the conversation 'Perfect. It's settled, then.'

Anakin POV

"More time with (Y/N). Maybe I can could get to know her better." I looked at her. That feelings could change that fast?

Before I met her I couldn't stop thinking about Padmé. But now I've met her, she always come in my dreams. (Y/N) (Y/L/N), you are doing crazy things with my head.
