Prologue

On the left: Arianna and On the Right: Ashtynn.

When Ashtyn was three years old and Arianna was 13 years old. Jasper and Katherine decided to call it quits on there 20 year marriage. Jasper had a offer to return to Georgia to take over his dad's cardio practice.

Katherine had just been named head of the pediatric department at NYU. And just been published in a medical journal for her clinical trial. The judge over their custody hearings allowed Arianna because of her age decide where she wanted to stay.

Arianna chose to stay in NY and the judge granted Jasper full custody of Ashtyn. He had family to help with child care in Georgia.

Both of their parents continued to be successful in their fields. Arianna met Bucky at 16 when he asked her to Homecoming sophomore year. That same year Jasper married his girlfriend/scrub nurse Vivian Davidson.

After high school Arianna went to college at NYU. Bucky joined the military but propose to her before he left. When he returned home they attended medical school together and got married.

And all that time Arianna's baby sister was living in Atlanta Georgia with their dad and stepmom. But to Ashtyn Vivian was her mother cause she never know saw Katherine.

And now..Ashtyn is 27 years old and just graduated medical school at Emory University. Arianna and Bucky are 37 years old Bucky is neurosurgeon and Arianna is a pediatric surgeon.

Katherine has Alzheimer's and lives in a nursing home. Jasper still practices and is cheif of surgery at his hospital.

But now Ashtyn is returning to New York for the first time since she was 3...
