It was Christmas Day most of the day was quiet. The Barnes did their Christmas with their grandkids at James and Winnie's house. Lucille and Edith spent the rest of the day in Jasper's kitchen.
For the last 5 days Ashtyn kept to herself in her room. Around 5PM everyone was dressed up for Christmas dinner. Jasper came up to Ashtyn's room.
"At some point you have to tell him." Jasper said in a low tone.
"No I don't.." she said as she left her room.
They all sat down to enjoy Christmas dinner. Edith and Lucille had made a big ham and a turkey. When everyone had finished dinner they all began to clean up for dessert.
Bucky pulled Ashtyn outside. "So were you sleeping with someone else while you were sleeping with me?" Bucky said
"My life is none of your business." She said as she was about to walk off.
"Ash.." Jasper said from the door.
She looked at him.
"He deserves to know the truth." Jasper said
"He chose her he lost his right.." she said
"What do I deserve to know..that the babies you are carrying are mine." Bucky said behind her.
She looked down then walked away. Bucky chased after her.
"Ashtyn! Tell me the god damn truth!" Bucky yelled loud enough for the whole house to hear.
Everyone stopped to see what the yelling was about. Ashtyn wiped tears.
"You want me to answer your question. Fine..yes they are yours! Hey everybody the twins are James Buchanan's we had a 5 month long affair." She said
Arianna dropped her champagne glass and it shattered.
"You..slept with my sister? YOU SLEPT WITH MY SISTER!!" she said as she walked to Bucky.
She slapped him across the face. Edith saw all the great grandkids mouths fall open.
"Allie Frankie Delilah and Joselyn why dont you take the kids to the house." James said when he saw his grandkids.
Bucky swallowed hard.
Everyone felt the air shift in the room as the kids left.
"Boys.." James said
Bucky's four older brothers made sure they covered all exit strategies.
"Dad I am not a little kid.." Bucky said in a whisper.
"Sit your ass down son..I warned you threatened you. I wanted to believe with every ounce of me that you wouldnt be so stupid!" James said
"James honey why would you do this to Arianna?" Winnie said
"Yes James why you would cheat on me?" Arianna said
"Really!? You are asking me that Arianna Grace! We havent had sex in two years! You are to busy for me all the fucking time! Its always Im tired I have rounds I have a conference. When was the last time besides Tahoe that we actually took time for each other!" Bucky yelled
Arianna stood up. "So this is my fault!" She said
"You took over your mother's practice 5 years ago. And ever since then you have turned into the very thing you hate. We went from family planning to nothing." Bucky said
"Son thats when you open your mouth and say something to your wife. Or come to me or your brothers and say hey I need help.." James said
Bucky wiped tears. "I was lonely Ari..it feels like I am married to myself 95% of the time. All you ever want to do for me is give me blow jobs like we are 16. And on top of all that I am so sick of hearing about how you are the top pediatric surgeon on the east coast. I can handle being asked about my brothers when I say my name. But now my name is tied to yours.." he said
