It was October 10th Ashtyn had been back home for a month now. She was in the middle of watching an attending doing a appendectomy. When she started to feel her inside turning she had been feeling naseaous the last few days. Dr Halcomb said "Someone get Dr Burkhart a puke bucket." When she saw that she was starting to dry heave.
Ashtyn began to puke as her dad was in the gallery. "Ashtyn you alright?" He said into the com.
"Yeah dad..Im.." she said as she collapsed on to the floor.
"Can we get some help in here." Dr Halcomb said
A team of nurses came in and took her to a private ER room. Jasper had them run all kinds of blood work on her and pumped with IV fluids. Meanwhile in NY Bucky had been trying to call her everday hoping that she would unblock his number. He was sitting at home alone eating cold pizza and a cupcake washing it all down with beer.
"Happy Birthday Ashtyn" he whispered as he got a text that said "Emergency surgery wont be home"from Arianna.
Jasper came into Ashtyn's room "Ash baby. This here says you are pregnant did you have a boyfriend in NY and it didnt work out." Jasper said
"No.." she said
"One night stand?" He said
"No.." she said as she looked down.
They took her to the radiology for a ultrasound. The tech put in her last period was in August and when he did measurements of the baby. He said "We are 8 weeks 0 days pregnant. We have a due date May 10th. The heart rate is 152."
"Thanks." She said as she took her ultrasounds.
That night when she got home Jasper looked at her. "Ashtyn Rose now is the time to be honedt with me. Who is the baby's father?" Jasper said
"Please don't judge me. You or you mom." She said
"We just want the truth." Vivian said
"I had a emotional/physical affair with James..Ari's husband. But he chose her when I gave him a choice. Thats why I decided to come home cause he loves her. So Im not gonna tell him about the baby. He loves her so I will just raise the baby alone." She said
"Ash that isnt your decison to make. He has a right to know the truth that he has a kid on the way. And what were you doing sleeping with him anyways?" Jasper said
"Dad..I dont want to talk about it. Im tired and I have rounds in the morning." She said and left the kitchen.
"Ash one day we have to talk about this." Vivian said
"Today is not that day." She said
Bucky went to bed but woke up when he heard Arianna come in around 4AM. He rolled over to her and caressed her cheek. "I love you baby." He said
"I love you too." She whispered as she rolled away.
Bucky rolled back over and went back to sleep.
