(1) Welcome Back Ash

"Flight 285 from Atlanta Georgia is now incoming."

"Thats her flight James." Arianna said as Bucky replies to a text.

"Great." He said as he put his phone away.

They stood at the gate awaiting for the passengers to be released. Ashtyn grabbed her stuff out of the carry on compartment. They finally released the passengers from the plane.

"Is that her?" James said when he saw a girl look almost similar to his wife.

"I dont know I haven't seen her in awhile." Arianna said

"Ari?" Ashtyn said as she walked up to them.

Arianna smiled. "Baby sister..you look so grown up." She said as she hugged her.

"Well you havent seen me in ten years." She said

"Lets get your luggage. I have a room all set up for you. But first dinner and we can go see mom. I have two days off." Arianna said

"Ari I.." she said

They found baggage claim Bucky got her two big suitcases. He carried them all the way to the car. Bucky opened up Ashtyn's car door then Arianna's.

"No wonder dad likes you." She said when she got in.

Bucky smirked. "Other than Im a doctor." He said

"Yeah." She said

Ari looked back at her. "How is dad and Viv?" She said

"Good. Dad said to give him grandbabies." Ashtyn said

Arianna shook his head. "Where to first darlin?" Bucky said as he put the car in reverse.

"The nursing home. I have dinner reservations for us at 5. So we can go visit mom." Arianna said

"Ari..she isnt my mom. I may have her blood line in me. But Viv raised me." She said

"She is still your mom Ash. She asked about you the other day. Remember James honey she asked where Ashtyn was?" Arianna said

Bucky looked at Ari. "Ari baby.." he said

"What? She did you were in the room." Arianna said

"Im not dumb Ari. I know that look in his eyes. He is trying to say without offending me that she wasn't lucid when she asked about me." Ashtyn said

Bucky looked back in the rear view mirror at her. "Ash Im sorry.." he said

"Its fine.." she said as she looked out the window.

They pulled up at the nursing home. Ashtyn rolled her eyes as they got out. Arianna took her by the arm as they walked in together.

When they got to Katherine's room.

"Look mom. Look who is home its Ashtyn Rose." Arianna said

"Ashtyn?" Katherine said

"I told you." Ashtyn said

Bucky was behind them just as she was about to walk out.

"Ashtyn Rose..my god did you grow up to be so beautiful." Katherine said

She turned around to see Katherine staring right at her. "Hi Katherine.." she said

Katherine looked down. "I deserve that. But welcome back Ash. Its good to know that you are okay." Katherine said

Ashtyn shook her head in agreeance and walked out.

"How are you feeling today Katherine?" Bucky said

'Im great James. You are looking like your daddy more every day. Thank you both for bringing her by. Why is she here?" Katherine said

"She is a surgical intern at NYU. She starts Monday she just graduated from Emory." Arianna said

"Thats good." Katherine said as she sat down.

She sat there a few minutes then she said "Ari..I have to go work. Be good okay and no boys over not even that Barnes boy. We dont need anything screwing up your future.."

Ari looked down. "Gone again." She whispered

"Baby I told you..she is only going to get worse." Bucky whispered as they left.

After dinner at a sushi place they finally arrived at Arianna and Bucky's brownstone. Bucky got her luggage out of the trunk. Arianna showed her to her room.

"I hope you like it. Its not much your bathroom is right next door. In your closet I already filled it with scrubs for you." Arianna said as Bucky came in.

He sat her suitcases down. "Thank you James." She said

"Bucky..most people call me Bucky. Its been my nickname since I was little. I only allow being called James at certain times." He said

"But most people.." she said

"My middle name is Buchanan thats where it came from." Bucky said

"Oh..okay Bucky." She said

He smiled and winked at her. His pager started going off.

"I have to go girls." He said as he kissed Arianna.

"It was nice to finally meet you Ashtyn." He said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you too." She said

Bucky left for the hospital Arianna looked down.

"Need help?" She said

"No..I got it. Thanks Ari for this..um Im sorry for getting upset earlier about mom. Its just to me she isnt much of a mom when all I got was the occasional birthday card and gift cards for Christmas." She said

"I know. But you understand right? Mom couldnt take care of us both. You were 3 and I was at the age where I could be left alone." Arianna said

"Yeah.." she said as she started to unpack.

Arianna shut the door as she left the room. She took a deep breathe as she went downstairs.

Ashtyn got her room unpacked and laid down. "Welcome back Ash. Now you have your sister back and a ridiclously sexy brother in law." She thought.

At NYU hospital an hour later. Bucky was in surgery. "So you finally met the little sister?" Sam said as he worked on the guy's leg.

"Yeah. And god she is gorgeous. It definitely runs in the family." Bucky said

Sam smirked behind his mask. "Those Burkhart genes." Sam said

"Yeah.." he said as he started to close the guy's head up.

"Im done Wilson. Page me when you are done." He said as he walked out.

"Will do Barnes." Sam said as he went back to fixing the guy's leg.
