I sat in my mother's other house and my father was grilling Grey downstairs. He was enjoying himself, he wasn't going to let anyone take this first experience off of him. My mom was sitting in my bedroom we had a nice talk after Grey had brought me back from the meadow. And she assured me of the details that Grey had given to me.

"You are my baby and even though you are the most powerful witch I have ever seen I will still take you across my knee..." She looked close to tears and I hugged her tightly. And it felt good to have her threaten me with a spanking for even implying she wanted me because I had uncovered her powers for her. And Grey was right, he was there. For almost 2 and a half weeks now he has been with me. But oddly not overly much. He had times when he told me he felt weak...and he wasn't sure he wanted to expose me to that part yet. He never wanted me to see him weak, and he wouldn't let me check on his power center. He kept his center covered and buried. But with my mother's help and my explanation of what I believe was Grey's weakness she had told me that he never took that Charm off and I believed that was his problem. I came downstairs with the charm in my hand and he looked at me with a smile on his face and there was a slight pale to his tan.

"Grey..." My mother greeted him from behind me on the stairs.

"Mrs. Hardy." He nodded his head and I took his outreached hand.

"Not too far you two." I smiled and we walked out of the house. If only they truly knew how far we went. I stopped just before opening the portal and he looked down at me and the glint in his eyes shimmered.

"Grey...promise me something?" He nodded and brushed a kiss to my forehead.

"Of course my love."

"Promise me you'll never take off a gift I give you." And I turned to him and he knew what it was. And shook his head.

"It will protect you much more..." I looked it around his neck and the strain lifted from his face and his knees gave out and I fell to my knees with him.

"Why would you let me take it? It's been slowly killing you...you have been sacrificing yourself to let me have it! I don't understand Grey, the stone needs you as you need it...its a bond." He looked down at the charm that glowed faintly.

"It's been fading for a while now...actually it doesn't have too much left...but to feel it again is a blessing like you would never know." I pressed a kiss to his lips feeling those fireworks deep in my blood.

"It's a charm...it will do whatever the wearer needs...protection, blessing, anything. I wanted you to have it to protect you when I wasn't with you."

"Never doubt me." My hand closed around the charm and I infused it with my own power center.

"NO!" He pulled away from me and clutched the stone to his chest. And I opened the portal stepping in and he followed hot on my heels and I was feeling more tundra, the winds called to me today. And I landed on the Great Plane of the United States Flat for miles no people, no houses. But the winds wiped around me wanting to play.

"You have no idea what you have just done!" He fumed at me and I crossed my arms. He closed the portal and looked at me with wide, frightened eyes. And I could see the difference in him, his power returning, his control was questionable but he would never hurt me. The glint was returning to his eyes and I knew the charm was giving him what he needed. Stability wouldn't allow him to waste power, it was giving him time to recuperate.

"Yes... I do. I almost did it the first time I touched it. That's why you reacted so violently to me touching it. Because I've done it before and it's hurt me. And by the way, you are acting it has to of been badly...and you know that...but this time is different. I can't tell you why because you won't tell me about the other times. The times that I can't even remember because they didn't happen! Memories of us you took from me!" He paced back and forth shaking his head and I could feel his power center coming back online. The full access to his abilities come back within his reach and it pulled on nothing within me.
