TETHERED FATE (Jungkook Werewolf FF)

I continued tossing around in my bed. I was obviously restless, I wanted to breath in the fresh air and feel the grass under my feet and just let my wolf free. I sighed as I sat up, but most importantly, I wanted to help Lisa. If the delta force of Silvertail pack took her, either Jungkook or Jimin would have mentioned something. It was clear that it wasn't a rogue or else she would have mind-linked me by now. Ever since, I heard her scream that day I tried linking with her, but my attempts were futile. 

I bit my fingernail in anxiety as I stood up from the bed and headed towards the window. I slid the window open and peered my head out. The moon caught my attention, it will be full moon tomorrow and that is when Jungkook would introduce me to the pack. I lowered my head, staring at the ground. It  was too high, and even if I jumped the guards stationed at the entrance would hear me.

Footsteps sounded from outside, I moved away from the window hiding in the shadow offered by the corner of the room. The door banged open and a lady wearing a tight-fitting black dress that reached up to her knees entered. I blinked my eyes multiple times trying to focus on her face, but the bright light pouring from the now ajar door, made it impossible for me to do so. 

As she stepped into the moonlight, with light now illuminating her face rather than her back I finally got a clear view of her flawless features.

"So you finally came, took you long enough" I stated walking out of the dark, to face her head on.

"Don't flaunt yourself" she smirked at me.

"Is it wrong if I wait for my mother?"

"I'm not your mother!" she replied, angered by my words. She raised her hand to slap me, but I held it mid-air.

"Why? Are you not my mate's mother? Mrs Jeon Hae-won?" I said as I pushed her hand away.

"You are probably afraid to see me here alive and doing well" it was my time to smirk at her.

"Why would I be afraid?"

"I could simply tell him everything" I said taking a step closer to her, marking my definite stance.

"But you can't" she laughed as a grin settled on her face. "He will never believe you"

"I'm his mate, why won't he?" I retaliated, defying the reality I was clearly aware of.

"You see Yuna dear" she said as her hands grazed my skin, reaching for my loose hair strand. "You will never tell him because you cherish Lisa"

She gave my hair a slight pull before she finished tucking the strand behind my ear.

A moment of silence prevailed, as I stared into her eyes, baffled. I bawled my fists as realization hit me like a cold breeze; she was the one who held Lisa captive. I swallowed my saliva, trying to get rid of the burning sensation that was itching my throat. I was afraid of losing her. But in spite of my fear, I held my grounds, not letting her see through me. 

"So you see, it is up to you, if you want to talk then talk but remember you won't be taking the full hit but your friend will be"

That were the last words she said, before she made her way out of the room.

The second she left my skin lost its color as the true horrors of reality embraced me.

I felt suffocated. I dropped my body weight onto the floor feeling completely helpless and worthless. Tears started streaming down my face, as I harshly grabbed my hair and screamed in frustration. I didn't care who heard me, as I continued balling my eyes out and shouting.

"Why me?" I looked up at the moon.

"What did I ever do wrong?" 

I didn't spare a second as I sprinted towards the door and started banging on it, loudly.

"Let me out! I don't want to be here!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, hoping that someone would feel sympathy for me, but no, the guards completely ignored my plea.

I continued screaming through out the night. My voice echoed in the vicinity and I am sure, even my mate heard my howls, but he chose to ignore. 

At last, when my throat dried up and I had no more tears to shed, I slumped onto the floor. Even then, my eyes did not close and I carried on staring blankly at the moon which shone brightly despite my wailing.
