The Luna Ceremony

I was patiently seated in the waiting room. Staring at the mirror, I was unconsciously admiring my appearance. Just an hour ago, the prep team had finished with the final touches.

I had been dressed in a classical, simple draped bodice gown of pale grey embroidered silk, with an asymmetrical overpanel revealing a less-heavily embroidered underskirt that dropped low over my ankles. The dress wasn't one which screamed royalty, but I'm sure Jungkook chose it to make sure my figure hid well behind the ruffles of the soft cloth. The long sleeves completely covering my arms up to my shoulder, but my right trapezius was on full view, it was the place where the mating mark would rest in a few hours.

I sighed at the thought. I was getting impatient, I had to wait for another hour or two before the sun completely set and the full moon would rise indicating the start of the ceremony. It was worse, that nobody was here to keep me company.

"How can they leave the future Luna unattended like this!" I pouted.

"because the Alpha himself doesn't approve of his mate" I was startled y the sudden voice, I guess I was too preoccupied in myself to notice someone's presence. But that wasn't my main concern right now, the words she said pierced my heart.

In stepped Mrs Jeon with a smug look on her face. She looked me up and down, before continuing her statement:

"He wants to run for the position of Alpha King and he needs a mate for that purpose, and I'm glad he's been given a humble blessing in the shape of a playmate"

I stared at her expressionlessly, trying to not let her words get to me.

"It's time for the ceremony, I came to walk you down"

"The sun has not set yet" I said briefly looking out of one of the big windows in the room.

"You see, he is impatient to become the king"

I bit my tongue in attempts to control my anger. If this is how he wants to pay then so be it

In a swift movement I got up and bent down to grab the hem of my skirt

"What are you doing?" Mrs. Jeon complained as she took long steps towards me. But before she could interfere, I ripped the skirt from the side. The dress changed into something giving full view of my straight and slender legs with a little of my thighs on full display. I stood tall, proud of my scheme.

"I won't stop you from creating trouble for yourself" Mrs. Jeon simply smirked , before offering me her arm. I wrapped my arms around her as we stepped out.

She guided me through empty alleys before we reached our destination.

With the Sun setting behind me, I looked at the scenery before me in awe. A straight path had been carved with loads of sunflower on both side. The sunflowers were stationed as if they were smiling at me. As I took a few steps forward, it felt as if they were following my every movement with invisible eyes even though it was not me but the sun that piqued their interest. I was overwhelmed with thousands of emotions while walking through the bed of flowers. Memories flooded into my mind;

"I'll continue looking at only you my entire life, just like how these sunflowers only focus on the sun" little Jungkook said with a bright smile, as he entwined his hands with mine as he nudged in the direction of the sunflowers growing in the backyard of my parents house.

My eyes threatened to water as Iooked up, trying to spot him. I saw people standing on either side, with their heads in a slight bow as they welcomed me. The river in front of which we were to pledge our oath caught my attention, as my eyes roamed around, I saw him standing beside the elder in white tux. My eyes caught his, and he didn't looked pleased. He signalled down to my dress, telling me I was in big trouble. But that didn't bother me right now, I was on another level of euphoria knowing that we'll be each others from now on.
