I stood alone in the heart of Jimbaran Bay Beach, Bali, my eyes tracing the rhythmic dance of the tides. This was the place of my grandest dreams—a honeymoon with my soulmate, basking in the euphoria of our love.
For years, I had labored tirelessly to carve out a position of significance, all the while grappling with the shattered remnants of my family's past. My mother's betrayal, a scar etched deep by my father's infidelity, had made me wary of such fantasies. Yet here I was, marveling at the romantic allure of Bali—a place that surpassed even my wildest imaginations.
"Seems someone is missing me?" The voice was a dark whisper from behind. I spun around to find myself face-to-face with a specter of my worst fears.
Arnav. My heart froze at the sight of him.
"I thought you were dead! You turned to ashes when I last saw you!" I stammered, my fear barely concealed as I stumbled backward.
"That's why I'm here—to exact my revenge," he sneered, closing in on me. In a flash, we collided with the sand, his malevolent presence looming over me.
The weight of him on top of me was suffocating. I closed my eyes, wishing for Akhil to appear. His voice, however, shattered my dread.
"I'm here, love; you can open your eyes now," came Akhil's comforting tone. I hesitantly opened my eyes to see Akhil, not Arnav, gazing down at me with a mischievous grin.
"This power is so exhilarating. I can become anyone I wish," Akhil boasted, revealing his deception. Realization hit me hard, and I began to strike him playfully. "You thought you could trick me?" I demanded, my hits growing more forceful. He rolled away, laughing heartily.
Our laughter mingled with the gentle sound of waves, a moment of pure joy that I cherished deeply. "You can't do anything without your vampire powers," I teased, sticking my tongue out.
"You know, love, I can do anything now. Because you're mine," he said, his voice dripping with seduction. I groaned in response.
"Then try to catch me... without using your vampire strength," I challenged, my voice equally flirtatious, before darting away.
"Princess, I can catch you wherever you go!" he declared, lifting me effortlessly from the ground. I giggled as he set me back on my feet.
"I promise to give you the freedom you desire; I'll never hurt you or leave you," he vowed, cupping my face in his hands and sealing his promise with a tender kiss.
"This is the best honeymoon ever," I whispered, a contented smile spreading across my face.
Three years later...
"I seriously hate this... I should have consulted Babita about this," I grumbled, making my way towards Akhil.
"Come on, I told you not to walk on your feet," he said, sweeping me up into his arms with a grin. "God, Akhil, I'm not a child. And there's no need to carry me all the time... Sometimes I worry I'll forget how to walk," I complained, playfully hitting his chest.
He smiled as he placed me gently on the bed. "It's because you're carrying our little one," he said, his eyes twinkling. "I don't want our baby girl to scold me for not taking care of you," he added, his smile melting my anxieties.
Yes, I'm pregnant—six months along, to be precise. The thought both exhilarates and terrifies me. This baby isn't just any baby; it's a vampire child, and the stakes feel incredibly high.
"I'm convinced it's going to be a boy," I said, eliciting a chuckle from Akhil.
"What about twins?" Leela, my mother, inquired as she entered the room with Mrs. Chowdary.
The room was filled with familiar faces—my parents, my former boyfriend Mr. Lellapali and his wife, Harshi with her husband Vineel. Harshi and Vineel's love story had unfolded rapidly; I had supported them from the start. They had married swiftly after Akhil and me, and had a baby girl six months prior.
Akhil's reluctance to start a family had been a point of contention. He was nervous, but he listened to my nightly explanations about fatherhood with patience.
"Hey, if it's a boy, I want you to arrange a marriage with my daughter," Harshi joked, causing everyone to laugh.
"Such an early alliance!" Akhil remarked, still chuckling.
Leela's five-year-old son was eagerly anticipating the arrival of his sibling. Everyone had gathered for my baby shower, and I was filled with excitement.
Later that night...
"I thought you were asleep," Akhil said as he entered the room, clad in shorts and a t-shirt. His presence immediately eased my tension.
"How could I sleep? I'm anxious about everything—my first pregnancy, carrying a vampire child..." I babbled, but he silenced me with a gentle touch.
"You're going to be just fine," he assured, presenting me with a jewelry box. Inside was a delicate diamond necklace.
"This was a gift from my mother to my soulmate," he said, placing the chain around my neck. "Your first baby shower gift," he added, his eyes filled with love.
"I know you have a choice while conceiving—whether to remain human or become a vampire. But I promise, no matter what, I'll protect you and the baby," he vowed.
I stood on my toes and kissed him on the forehead.
"By the way, I thought I'd be the one to give you the first baby shower gift," Harshi said, entering the room.
Akhil's perceptive eyes gleamed as he caught my inner thoughts. "Don't worry; it's more precious than anything," Harshi said, capturing our full attention.
"Akhil, do you remember when Sushvi, in her angelic form, defeated Arnav?" Harshi asked. Akhil nodded, and I was left confused, recalling only a faint memory of that time.
"When she left, she touched my hand and I saw a vision. Sushvi isn't just a normal human. Though she gave immortality to Akash, her angelic blood remains. The angels who were her parents granted her the power to carry a vampire child without risk. She can choose to become a vampire or an angel whenever she needs. It's her birthright," Harshi explained.
Understanding dawned on me, and I felt a wave of relief. I hugged Harshi tightly, overjoyed that I could live a normal life while carrying my child.
"I love you, Harshi," I said, tears of gratitude in my eyes.
"I love you too. Some are envious of your love for me," she said, and we shared a heartfelt laugh.
"Am I interrupting something?" Vineel asked, stepping in.
"Nothing, my dear. Just discussing what gift Sushvi might want," Harshi replied, and Vineel, with a loving smile, whisked her away.
Their romance was something to admire, but my concern lingered. Vineel remained unaware of the supernatural truths surrounding Harshi and me. Despite Harshi's insistence on keeping secrets, I hoped it wouldn't disrupt their relationship.
"Mrs. Akhil Chowdary, still lost in thought?" Akhil teased as he lifted me back into bed.
Living with my vampire husband has its challenges, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I knew I would have to make choices in the future, but his love remains unwavering.
"I love you, Sushvi," he murmured, holding my face gently.
"I love you too, my bloodsucker," I replied, and he chuckled.
"What if I wrote our love story in a book?" I proposed.
"Then what would the title be? 'My Bloodsucker'?" he asked with a grin.
"No, it would be 'Falling in Love with My CEO,'" I said.
He smiled, pulling me into a tight embrace.
In Akhil's arms, I found joy, security, and pride in my decisions. I hoped everyone could find love as profound as ours.
And so, dear readers, Sushvi and Akhil were blessed with a baby boy, named Rahul. This is where our story ends. I'm overwhelmed by the ending, but my love for you all grows with each chapter shared.
Thank you for your unwavering support for Akhil and Sushvi. Please share, vote, and comment.
