Sushvi's Point of View

"What are you going to wear?" Harshi inquired with a devilish grin. "The handsome gentleman over there is waiting for you, my girl," she teased, her tone playful yet knowing.

"Oh, for heaven's sake, Harshi, stop it," I retorted, trying to maintain my composure. "I'm only going because he saved your life."

"Only because he saved my life? I thought you wanted to see him again, just like you were mesmerized when we were eating hotdogs," she said mischievously. How did she catch that? I'd assumed she was too absorbed in her meal to notice.

"What? Err... I don't know what you're talking about," I stammered, my cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Harshi rolled her eyes. "Alright, babe, enough with the excuses. What are you going to wear?"

"This isn't a date... it's just to... just to..." I trailed off, unable to find the right words. Was it merely to talk, or perhaps to enjoy his company?

"Don't search for words, just go. He must be waiting," Harshi urged, her tone light but firm. I slipped into a long green frock and matching flower-shaped earrings.

"You look stunning tonight," Harshi said, her praise making me smile.

Akhil's Point of View

"Sir, today you have an appointment with the German visiting company," Alec reported, his tone professional.

"At what time?" I asked, my impatience barely concealed.

"At 6:00 PM sharp. We need to secure this contract," Alec replied. The meeting time clashed with my plans.

"Cancel it," I instructed, my voice resolute.

"Cancel it? Are you serious?" Alec's eyes widened in disbelief. "This is important! You've never missed a deal before."

"Yes, Alec, I know," I said, feeling the tension rise. "But for some reason, this girl is affecting me."

Alec's smirk grew wider. "I think you're falling for her."

"Shut up, Alec!" I snapped, trying to sound authoritative. "I don't believe in any of this. Just cancel the meeting."

"Why cancel if you're not interested?" Alec raised an eyebrow, challenging me.

"It's none of your business," I growled. I was drawn to her, but it was the allure of her blood that truly enticed me. It was already 5:30 PM. The café was an hour away, but I could cover the distance easily.

I quickly dressed in a v-neck shirt and jeans. "Alec, can I borrow your bike?" I asked, an unusual request that shocked him.

"Borrow my bike? Since when do you ride bikes?" Alec's surprise was evident.

"Just do it," I said, rolling my eyes. "I'm not hiding anything from you."

Alec's frown deepened. "You've never concealed anything from me before. What's the real reason?"

"I'm attracted to her blood," I admitted reluctantly. "Not to her—just the blood."

At the Coffee Shop

As I waited, Mr. Wilson, the café owner, approached. "Sir! Welcome! What can I get you?"

"I'm just waiting for someone," I said, trying to mask my impatience.

"Would you like some fresh blood, B-negative? It's very tasty," Mr. Wilson offered, his gaze lingering with a hint of hunger.

"No, thank you, Wilson. I'm waiting for someone," I replied, returning his smile.
