PHOENIX: Three Wanderers #8. Journey to the Mountains.
--- The Eternal Road: South West. BAEID ---
Cain~ That night I met Homura in person for the first time... I felt like I had something to do that was important. Not only for me but for my culture and my family. The old man gave me his blessing, and Dalia was all for tagging along. When you saw her... you lied. You told them... And that's Why I can't trust you anymore.
Rubi~ I know.... But, you can't just take it into your own hands, Cain! You know what someone with those abilities can do! That's why you have to trust the process and let us handle it!
Cain~ No... this is my job.
Cain finally gets the advantage in the struggle. Rubi jumps back and pulls out her gun and aims it at Cain. Cain doesn't expect her to shoot... and he was right. He sheaths the blade. And raises his hands in the air again. Rubi gets closer but keeps the gun pointed at him. She looks over at her crew and sees them being laid out by Mahaz, Dalia, and a tiny Amyr that would headbutt anything that would look at Dalia with anger. Mahaz knocks a few dudes with his pole; when he notices from atop the bar is a sniper aiming at Dalia who is easily kicking and knocking people out with the hilt of the blade
Mahaz~ Well... that's not very conspicuous.
Cain takes his pole and tosses it like a javelin at the dude. Just as it sores in the air Dalia appears behind the sniper and knocks him out with her hilt. Mahaz screams "Oh fuck" as the pole flies right towards her. He activates his repulsion magic and right when he does, Dalia catches the pole. She gets pulled with the pole as it flies back to Mahaz and they smash into each other's head first.
Mahaz~ AH WHAT THE FUCK. Why is your head so hard, women!?
Dalia~ What's your deal!? I had the guy and don't need your help! AND LET GO OF MY WAIST YOU PERV!
Mahaz~ You landed on me! Who told you to grab my pole!? How am I supposed to know if you can move that fast or not!?
Amyr just tilts his head as he watches the scene play out. Meanwhile, the scene also distracted Rubi enough for Cain to knock away the gun in her hand. He sets his finger ablaze and places it on her forehead. Cain remembers that Dalia gets lighted pretty easily. He ups the temperature around her and she starts to get woozy. She curses him for remembering that. Cain grabs her before she falls to the ground. He sighs, These past six months changed so much. He walks towards Mahaz and Dalia who are still bickering. He looks around at the carnage and laughs. Man, today has been a day. Once the two bickering contract killers (well one in training) calmed down, The three and Amyr helped move the knocked-out militia back into the bar. Cain places the unconscious Rubi on a chair. He pats her head and walks out of the building. Dalia was staring a hole into mahaz, who looked like he couldn't care less, and Amyr was just chilling in her arms.
Cain~ Well, that was some shortstop huh Dalia?
Dalia~ Can we go already? The less I could look at this idiot's face the better.
Mahaz~ Rude.
Cain~ Yeah we gotta get moving to Musafirin Mountain. I'll catch you up on what happened but we even got more of a reason to go there now. Thanks for the help with things Mahaz. Maybe we'll meet again and can have that civil conversation.
Mahaz~ Yeah... here's the thing. I'm tagging along with you guys.
Dalia~ Excuse me?
Cain~ Hmm... I don't know it's always been just us and Amyr. Plus what happened to your "I don't leave a town until I got a job" motto?
