Raising children had never crossed our minds, in fact getting married wasn't something I had ever thought about either. Neither of us had thought that far ahead before, it was after our wedding night when I was able move into our new home after staying in hospital. Why was I in hospital?...that is a story in itself. One of our co-workers had visited with their newborn (that child is growing into a brat, two year old and already flips off anyone who looks in their direction, some parents...) it was that moment that Kakarot and I had exchanged a look, we wanted to raise a child of our own. After tedious form filling, interviews, that I may or may not of paid a lot of money to speed up the process, we became parents to a 9 year old. We picked Gohan who seemed quite reserved. We had decorated his room with the help from my father in law of course, I was a little apprehensive with how Gohan would take to my husbands family, they are not your normal kind of family to put it politely. Lets not even mention about mine. Our son had adjusted to family and school pretty quickly, and had accepted the chaos that happens in our daily life.
We were quite content just raising one child together, one that knew how to use the bathroom without leaving a mess. It's bad enough I have to clean up after my husband whenever he makes something to eat in the kitchen, bastard doesn't think to wipe down the counter tops when he's done. I once had to clean up after a raccoon had pissed in the bathtub, although my husband did have a guilty look on his face...
There is never a dull moment in our household, in fact it turned out Kakarot's ex had his sperm stored and impregnated herself. Thus we became a family of four. Thankfully my husband and I disposed the rest of the stored sperm, it somehow involved pizza too. I thought that would be the end of my nightmare, but of course, the bitch decided to go into labor in front of me and it was me who had to help deliver Goten. I saw some things I wished I hadn't that day, thankfully Kakarot comforted me afterwards.
I know some family members question my parenting, mainly as I won't allow Gohan to eat certain snacks, and have child proofed the whole house. In fact, I'm now debating to have my husband cut down on certain snacks too I made the mistake of bringing chocolate into our...special cuddle. Let's just say it ended up with a broken table. There was another incident that I shall remain quiet about.
Parenting has it's challenges, however I'm proud of my kids, even if the eldest bangs on my bedroom wall for no apparent reason.
