My name is Lacy Meadows and I'm 13 years old and I'm turning 14 years old on Saturday, my best styles of dance are acro and lyrical and my worst style of dance is tap, my bffs on the team are Brady, Hannah, Sarah, Lilly and Pressley and my only enemy on the team is GiaNina.

I cut myself and on my 14th birthday I promised my mom that I would stop cutting for good at age 14, Today we arrive for pyramid and I walk into the dancers den to see all of my friends who are on the team in there, We then walked into Studio A and Sarah and Michelle leave the team and then Miss Abby does the pyramid, she then gives out the assignments, she gives Pressley a contemporary solo entitled Flower child, she then gave Brady a solo that is also contemporary entitled Eyes on me and then she gave me a solo entitled Birthday and it was Lyrical, I was going up against Brady because we were both in the teen category while Pressley was in the junior category.
Miss Abby the told us the group dance was entitled Rising from the ashes and it was contemporary as well. The moms were dismissed and we started rehearsing the group dance and then we rehearsed the group dance in ashes. I started to notice Brady in a different way like in a more than a friend way, I blushed when he lifted me in the group dance and then we were dismissed for the day.
The next day...
Pressley rehearsed her solo and then Brady rehearsed his solo, I decided to tell Hannah in the dancers den about how I feel about Brady while I was waiting to rehearse my solo, "Hey Hannah, can I tell you something?" "Yes" "I like Brady as a crush, do you have any advice on how to tell him?" "Just tell him how you feel about him" Brady then came into the dancers den and he said to me "Lacy, Miss Abby wants you to rehearse your solo with her and Gianna now" "Thanks Brady"
I rehearsed my solo and then we rehearsed the group dance and then we were dismissed for the day.
Brady's POV
The next day...
We arrived at the competition place and we saw Sarah and her mom, we gave Sarah a hug before we got into the dressing room and the soloists got ready for the solos.
Lacy's POV
I went into the bathroom to cover up my scars, I pulled out my concealer and then I dropped my opened bottle of concealer spilling it in the sink and now I have no more to cover up my scars, I could go back to the dressing room to grab my other bottle of concealer but I can't risk it, GiaNina comes into the bathroom and then she notices the spilled concealer bottle and my scars, GiaNina then said to me "Poor Lacy, your cuts are so visible without concealer" "Gia-" "No, look at yourself, you are fat, you don't deserve a solo today on your birthday and you will never stop cutting ever" She's right, I will never be able to stop cutting.
GiaNina then said to me "You will give me your solo or if you don't I will tell the rest of the team about you cutting yourself" I gave my solo to GiaNina, I got changed out of my solo costume back into the clothes I wore this morning, GiaNina puts on my solo costume before she leaves the bathroom and then I lock myself in a stall.
Pressley's POV
While I was heading backstage for my solo, I saw GiaNina in Lacy's solo costume, I decided to find Miss Abby and tell her, I found Miss Abby leaving the dressing room and I said to her "Miss Abby, I need to tell you something?" "What is it, honey?" "I just saw GiaNina heading backstage in Lacy's solo costume, I think GiaNina is doing Lacy's solo, did you give her permission to do Lacy's solo?" "No, I didn't, GiaNina!" GiaNina comes over to us and Miss Abby makes her take off Lacy's solo costume in the dressing room.
Brady's POV
I know where Lacy is, I grab Lacy's solo costume off Miss Abby and Hannah, Pressley, Sarah, Lilly and I go to the bathroom. We walked in and I heard Lacy in one of the stalls, we got her out of the bathroom and then I pass Lacy her solo costume.
We wait in the bathroom for Lacy and then Hannah pulled me away from the other girls, Hannah then said "Brady, Lacy likes you as a crush" "Really?" "Yeah, do you like her in the same way?" "Yes" Lacy then came out of the bathroom in her solo costume and everyone is shocked, she has cuts all over her arms, Lacy than runs out of the bathroom.
Later on...
We go backstage and after Pressley and I perform our solos I find Lacy backstage running her solo in her head, I walked up to her "Hey Lacy" "Brady, I'm sorry, I should have told you about-" "Shh, it's okay" I pulled out a bottle of concealer and I spread the concealer on her arms, Lacy looked at me while I did it, when I was finished I said to her while I cleaned my hands, "You are an amazing dancer Lacy, you just go out there and you do your best especially since it's your birthday today" Lacy then performed her solo and when she comes backstage to me, I kissed her cheek.
Lacy's POV
We go back into the dressing room and we get ready for the group dance and while we were walking backstage I told the other girls expect GiaNina that Brady kissed me on the cheek, we then get backstage and we perform the group dance. We then get offstage and Brady pulls me aside from the other girls, he then said "Lacy, I like you and I know you like me, you are perfect and you should stop cutting for good" I was startled by this, I then give Brady a kiss on the lips.
At awards...
Pressley came third overall with her solo and Brady came second overall with his solo and I won with my solo and the group dance won as well. We got back to the dressing room and Miss Abby congratulated me on my solo win and everyone for the group win, we then get changed out of our group dance costumes.
That night...
We are leaving the hotel to go back on the bus to the studio, I met Brady in the lobby, Brady then said to me "Lacy, will you be my girlfriend?" "Yes" we then hugged before we walked off to the bus with the rest of the team.
