Wednesday Night.

I see a small circle of headlights from the distance. I turn my full beams on and see the two round rally lights i had fitted to the grill earlier light up. I pull into the old parking lot with my lights off. I rev up and the car backfires and i turn my lights on again and giggle. I pull up to the little semi circle of 5 cars and hop out, keeping my engine on for the lights. I close my door and get greeted by Jess. I look around. The red truck from shcool is there, chases Camaro a red mustang convertible, a blue dodge charger, a old metallic blue and chrome Chevrolet truck and finally my ford. I look around at the group of furs standing around. A tall stag standing in front of the truck ive seen before. Chase is standing in front of his car. A group of bitchy looking girls standing around the mustang. A Mysterious looking wolf standing in font of the charger and a large male cheetah with a scar over his eye leaning on the Chevrolet. 

Chase walks up to me. I feel in my pocket at my knife as i dont feel quite right here. His scowl turns into a smile and he shakes my other paw. I sigh with relief inside and get introduced to the furs. The wolf is Dan, the cheetah is Jason, The lead looking girl is Vanessa and the stag is Nick.

They all nod or put a paw up at me as i look at them. I start to listen to some music playing through a speaker on the ground. I watch as some drinks get shared around Chase opens the trunk and shows me a cider. "Okay one thanks" He passes it to me and i sit on my hood and open it. We talk and listen to the music for 30 minutes. Some of the girls are somehow already drunk and are dancing.  The talk turns to cars and they seem interested in mine. I don't tell them much as i feel like a race will happen soon. At 12:15 we hop in our cars and start to rev up. The red truck won't race and the girls won't. Chase walks up to my window. "The parking lot is a good quarter mile drag and there is space to stop. After drag races we will move onto whatever ok?" I nod and line up next to Chase.

Every car is Rear wheel drive so i set mine to all wheel drive for a better launch. I picked this car partly because you can change the power output. Everyone revs up and i let my car do it's machine gun backfires. it's good this place is out of earshot of town i think and giggle. Vanessa walks out in the middle where theres a gap between the cars. I rev up and stay bouncing on the end of the rev guage. I hear the others rev up. Vanessa puts one paw in the air. Two. She bows and we set off. My all wheel drive launch gives me a good advantage. Dan comes close but doesn't overtake me. Easy win. I was first, Dan second, Chase third, Jason fourth. 

We do 2 more races after the first one and get to the final race. I look at Dan's break disks. They are glowing red with heat. "dude you should sit out of this one the breaks might not work as well." He shrugs and lines up. For the fourth and final time we set off and i win again. That's when It happens....
